AFC East

Buffalo Bills

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

Bills should lose to Detroit and either beat the Bears or the Packers. The game with the Packers is a toss-up. Green Bay is likely to take it easy this preseason knowing it’s their last with Aaron Rodgers, which gives the Bills the edge.

Miami Dolphins

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Tua must play in at least a couple of Miami’s preseason games. He’s likely not ready for the season, which means the Fins will work the former Alabama gunslinger.

New England Patriots

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

Already tight-end Hunter Henry hurt his shoulder, which mean Belichick will be careful with his other starters. The problem with that idea? The Patriots don’t know if their starting quarterback will be Newton or Jones. Belichick might decide based on practices.

New York Jets

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Quarterback Zach Wilson should get at least two starts. The J-E-T-S could win both those games.

AFC North

Pittsburgh Steelers

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 3-1

The Steelers already have a preseason victory in the bag. They should get at least 2 more. We’re not sure against which teams, but we know they win a couple more.

Cincinnati Bengals

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Cincinnati wins a couple this preseason. Even though they battle the WFT, New England, and Miami, only the Fins should add a defeat. The Bengals should beat the WFT and the Patriots because neither Bill Belichick nor Ron Rivera will push their teams.

Baltimore Ravens

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

Ravens could go 0-3 during the preseason. John Harbaugh knows what he has. He doesn’t need to evaluate his veteran players.

Cleveland Browns

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The Browns could go 0-3 as well. Cleveland is ready for the season to start. Any preseason games are for deep on the bench roster moves and rookie evaluations.

AFC South

Tennessee Titans

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 0-3

Don’t expect Tennessee to win a single preseason game. The Super Bowl contender won’t play many starters knowing an extra regular season game is on the docket.

Jacksonville Jagaurs

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 3-0

Coach Urban Meyer has limited NFL experience. Like so many college coaches jumping to the pro ranks, he’ll overplay his likely starters and make calls to win meaningless football games.

Houston Texans

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Watson is back at practice, which means the Texans couldn’t unload him. Watson won’t play during the preseason. Tyrod Taylor will, which should lead to at least 2 wins.

Indianapolis Colts

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The Colts are loaded with inexperienced quarterbacks. They’ll play all four looking for who will start in place of Carson Wentz. At least one of those quarterbacks, Brett Hundley, Jacob Eason, one of them, will lead Indy to a win.

AFC West

Kansas City Chiefs

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 0-3

Don’t be surprised if Reid keeps Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, and Tyreek Hill on the bench until NFL Regular Season Week 1.

Las Vegas Raiders

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Marcus Mariota should get some playing time. The former Titan backs up Derek Carr. Mariota will ensure a couple of Raider preseason victories.

Denver Broncos

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 3-0

The Broncos must decide between Drew Lock and Teddy Bridgewater, which means either one or the other starts Denver’s preseason games. Lock and Bridgewater are veteran quarterbacks. That gives Denver an edge in every preseason contest.

Los Angeles Chargers

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The Bolts know what they’ve got. Rashawn Slater, the Chargers’ left tackle, requires playing time, but the rest of the team doesn’t. Bolts could go 0-3. There’s a chance LAC wins a game.

NFC East

Dallas Cowboys

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 0-4

Dallas figures to mail in all 4 NFL Preseason games. Why not? They can’t take the chance of Dak Prescott, or any starter, getting hurt.

New York Giants

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 3-0

The Giants will activate Saquon Barkley this week. The running back requires playing time to get into shape for the season. Without Barkley, the Giants have no shot. So expect Saquon to make an appearance in all 3 preseason matches.

Philadelphia Eagles

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Philadelphia hasn’t said they’re starting Jalen Hurts. There’s a chance Super Bowl winning quarterback Joe Flacco gets the nod. The Eagles must play both during the preseason before making that decision, which means 2 wins is a possibility.

Washington Football Team

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The WFT could go 0-3. Even though Rivera hasn’t said Ryan Fitzpatrick will start, we know he’s already decided on Fitz. But Rivera won’t put backup Tyler Heinicke in harms way. Ron knows what he’s got with Heinicke. There’s no reason to play either quarterback during the preseason.

NFC North

Green Bay Packers

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

Green Bay could go 0-3. They may go 1-2. They could also go 3-0. Jordan Love will get some playing time. Aaron Rodgers won’t. The Packers are a mystery.

Minnesota Vikings

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The Vikings are a veteran squad with a starting quarterback, Kirk Cousins, who refuses to get vaccinated. If Minnesota must forfeit games because Cousins contracts COVID, expect a huge blow up. As far as the preseason goes, Minnesota won’t play Cousins.

Detroit Lions

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

The Lions may give Jared Goff playing time. Goff is in a new system. He must be comfortable in NFL Regular Season Week 1. It could lead to a couple of Lions wins.

Chicago Bears

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

The Bears will protect Fields, but they mustn’t protect Dalton. The former Bengal and Cowboy could start 2 games. Or he may not start any. Either way, Chicago looks primed for at least two preseason wins because Nick Foles is the third quarterback.

NFC South

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

Don’t be surprised if the Bucs go 0-3. If Tom Brady was on your team, would you play him in a meaningless game versus the Bengals, Titans, or Texans?

New Orleans Saints

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

Yes, New Orleans hasn’t decided if Taysom Hill or Jameis Winston gets the start. The smart money is on Winston. Sean Payton will give both players meaningful playing time. But that doesn’t mean he plays Alvin Kamara or any key player on defense during the preseason.

Atlanta Falcons

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

The Falcons have decent depth, including AJ McCarron backing up Matt Ryan, even though they’re lacking star power outside of Ryan and rookie tight-end Kyle Pitts. McCarron can play quarterback at this level. That should lead to at least 2 ATL victories.

Carolina Panthers

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

Sam Darnold should get a start. That’s a win. PJ Walker or Will Grier will lead the Panthers to another victory. Both Walker and Grier have some talent. Expect Carolina coach Matt Rhule to give both the green light.

NFC West

Los Angeles Rams

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The Rams won’t put Matthew Stafford into harms way. They also won’t allow Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey to go one-hundred percent on defense in meaningless games. There’s a chance, like with so many Super Bowl contenders during the preaseason, the Rams go 0-3.

Seattle Seahawks

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 3-0

Russell Wilson won’t play, but wide receiver DK Metcalf might. Also, Pete Carroll instills a play hard attitude from Day 1, which means the rookies and backups will go all out on every play.

Arizona Cardinals

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 2-1

The Cardinals play the Cowboys, the Chiefs, and the Saints this preseason. AZ could win all 3 because none of those teams will play their starters for more than a few series in every game.

San Francisco 49ers

  • 2021 NFL Preseason Betting Prediction: 1-2

The Niners should go 2-1 or 3-0. Trey Lance may get a series. Jimmy Garoppolo must get some playing time and Josh Rosen, the former UCLA star, is third on the depth chart.
