Who are the Favorites to Win the 2021 Pennzoil 400?

Martin Truex Jr.

  • 2021 Pennzoil 400 Odds: +550

Truex was so close to breaking in the win column of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series last week but settled for a third-place finish in Miami. That’s not shabby, though, and he will try again this weekend in Las Vegas, where he finished fourth last year during the 2020 South Point 400. If you need further encouragement to bet on Truex, you can consider the fact that he’s turned out a top-10 performance in seven of his last nine trips to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Kyle Larson

  • 2021 Pennzoil 400 Odds: +700

It’s been a while since Larson was last seen making the top 5 of a race, largely because of the suspension he served last year. But with him back in action, Larson is showing how big of a threat he still is to win on any given race. Take for example last week’s Dixie 400 in Miami in which he finished fourth for his second top 10 in three races this season. Larson was 10th in last month’s Daytona 500.

Joey Logano

  • 2021 Pennzoil 400 Odds: +750

Logano simply can’t be ignored, especially if the discussion is about a race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. After all, he has won both of the last two editions of the Pennzoil 400. Including those wins, Logano has six finishes inside the top 5 in 15 career appearances at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. His best finish to date this season was a runner-up performance at O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 At Daytona.

Who are the Sleepers to Win the 2021 Pennzoil 400?

William Byron

  • 2021 Pennzoil 400 Odds: +1200

Sometimes, you just have to ride with who’s got the hot hands. And right now, Byron has tremendous momentum heading into Sunday’s race after winning the Dixie Vodka 400 last week. Byron only has a 22.33 career average finish at Las Vegas Motor Speedway but did a lot of people really expected him to win in Miami? His NASCAR odds should come across as a tasty opinion for some sleepers hunters.

Christopher Bell

  • 2021 Pennzoil 400 Odds: +3300

Bell turned heads when he won the O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 on Feb. 21, showing that he can be a major player in NASCAR Cup Series events going forward. He only registered a 20th-place finish last Sunday in Miami but at his current NASCAR odds, he’s definitely worth a look, at the very least.

Expert’s Prediction for the 2021 Pennzoil 400

Joey Logano is obviously the main attraction here, given his success at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. He is aiming to become the third driver to win the event three years in a row (Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were the first two). However, based on the outcomes of the races this year, it can get pretty wild.
