Why are the Alabama Crimson Tide the Favorite to Win the 2022 College Football National Championship?

Alabama’s 41-24 victory over the Georgia Bulldogs impressed big time. Most believed UGA, a -7 favorite heading into the game, was finally going to beat Bama. But the Tide showed they’re the best team in the nation. It’s difficult to go against Saban in any season. It’s particularly hard this season because Bama quarterback Bryce Young is an incredible player.

He and Bama’s offense dropped 41 onto a team that allowed less than 7 points per game on average. So is Bama worth backing at +120? They are, but Alabama isn’t a lock. John Metchie, the Crimson Tide’s star wide receiver, won’t play against either Cincinnati or, should Bama beat the Bearcats, in the title game. Without Metchie, the window is open for an upset.

Why are the Michigan Wolverines the Smart Pick to Win the 2022 CFP National Championship?

Michigan quarterback Cade McNamara isn’t close to having the skills that Bryce Young has. But McNamara does enough for the Wolverines to get the job done. If not for a blown 16-point lead versus rival Michigan State, the Wolverines would enter this game with an undefeated record. That’s how dominant Michigan has been this season.

We’re not used to seeing the Maize & Blue play this well. In hindsight, though, we should have expected it because Michigan is loaded with upper classmen. Aidan Hutchinson is a fantastic defensive end. He will get to Georgia QB Stetson Bennett, and either Young or Desmond Ridder in the title game. Hassan Haskins is a grate running back. He can get the tough yards versus Georgia’s and Alabama’s defenses. Give the Wolverines a big shot to win the title.

Why are the Cincinnati Bearcats the Longshot to Win the 2022 College Football National Championship?

Cincinnati is good enough to upset Alabama and then take down either Georgia or Michigan. The reason to love the Bearcats starts with quarteback Desmond Ridder. Without a doubt, Ridder has the most skills of the four starting quarterbacks after Bryce Young. Also, we mustn’t let the fact Cincinnati plays in the American Athletic Conference fool us.

Georgia beat up some very bad SEC teams this season. UGA also got to play horrible Georgia Tech. Cincinnati dominated Notre Dame in South Bend and beat ranked Houston in the AAC title game. The Bearcats can win the title at excellent odds.
