Daniel Ricciardo

  • 2022 Dutch Grand Prix Odds: +25000

The outgoing McLaren driver had another scoreless weekend after finishing P15 in Belgium. Teammate Lando Norris outperformed him again, which tells a lot about his form. This sheds light on the reason behind the mutual decision to part ways with his team a year before his contract ends. His performance decline can be attributed to the new car design and a clash with his driving style. The MCL36 is a difficult machine to handle. Even Norris showed underwhelming moments and struggled to keep up with the midfield pack since the opener.

However, we believe there’s still plenty of fight coming from the 33-year-old. Ricciardo is the last driver to win a Grand Prix for McLaren and can produce a competitive drive if he gets to grips with the car.

Pierre Gasly

  • 2022 Dutch Grand Prix Odds: +100000

In 14 races, Pierre Gasly managed to collect 18 points for AlphaTauri. He outclassed teammate Yuki Tsunoda after warming up in the first half of the campaign. The Frenchman holds a season-best finish of P5, which he recorded in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. In ten races, Gasly qualified within the top ten on three occasions. On top of his P5 finish in Baku, he also finished P9 in Spa last week.

We’ve seen how Gasly performs in a competitive car. If he had more time to adapt to the Red Bull, there’s a good chance that he would have kept his seat with the constructor. Nevertheless, his competitive spirit and ability to cling to faster drivers in an inferior machine make him one of our top 2022 Dutch Grand Prix sleeper picks.

Kevin Magnussen

  • 2022 Dutch Grand Prix Odds: +100000

Magnussen holds the best comeback story this season. After being dropped from Haas in 2020, he breathed life back into the team when he returned to the sport in 2022 to replace Nikita Mazepin. With a significantly improved car, he went to work and collected 22 of Haas’ 34 points so far this season. The Danish driver outplayed his teammate Mick Schumacher for the most part.

The 29-year-old’s numbers declined in Austria, where he qualified seventh and finished the race in P8. He’s since delivered two P16 finishes and one retirement, but a comeback is inevitable for Magnussen. We pen him as one of the unexpected Dutch Grand Prix sleepers this weekend.
