The 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship, formerly known as the Northern Trust, is normally held either in New York or Boston but has been relocated to Memphis for the 2021-22 PGA TOUR season. As a former World Golf Championship-level event, the tournament is one of the more lucrative events on the season’s calendar, hands down.

A massive prize pool worth $15 million is at stake at TPC Southwind this week. That is a far cry from the 9.5 million total prize payout from the 2021 edition of the Northern Trust. Then again, it’s only this year that the Northern Trust and the former St. Jude Classic merged into one premier tournament to make up for the discontinued WGC series of tourneys.
