Top Choice to Win the 2022 NASCAR All-Star

Chase Elliot raced great in last year’s NASCAR All-Star Main Event. Chase finished third behind Kyle Larson and Brad Keselowski.

Because Keselowski has suffered a suspension this season, he’s almost unplayable in this spot. Larson is for sure, but Hendrick gives both Kyle and Chase plenty of attention, which means Elliott is the pick due to the slightly better odds. Even if the odds change, it’s doubtful Elliott offers lower odds than Larson. So we’ll make Chase, who should bounce back from the twenty-ninth place finish at Kansas in the last, our top play.

Second Top Choice to Win the 2022 NASCAR All-Star

Last year’s All-Star Race winner is also having a fantastic 2022. Kyle Larson shows a victory at California, a pole victory, 7 top ten finishes in 12 starts and 6 top five finishes from the 7 top ten finishes.

Larson crossed the finish line second in the last NASCAR race, at Kansas Motor Speedway on March 15. His odds shouldn’t be close to +700, though. So at the expected odds, we’re thinking +500 or maybe even less, Larson is an underlay to win the race.

Third Top Choice to Win the 2022 NASCAR All-Star

From April 17 through May 8, Denny Hamlin and his crew weren’t performing close to expectations. Hamlin finished thirty-fifth over Bristol’s dirt, eighteenth at Talladega, twenty-first at Dover, and twenty-first at Darlington.

No doubt, Denny had struggled. He and his crew turned it around at Kansas Motor Speedway. Denny started eighteenth and made up fourteen positions to finish fourth. At the 2021 NASCAR All-Star race, Hamlin finished sixteenth. No doubt, Denny will improve off last year’s finish. He may improve enough to grab the checkered flag.

Fourth Top Choice to Win the 2022 NASCAR All-Star

Martin Truex Jr. finished tenth in last year’s NASCAR All-Star event. So far, it’s been an up and down season for the Joe Gibbs driver. Truex Jr. finished twenty-first over Bristol’s dirt, twelfth at Dover, and twenty-fourth at Darlington. But it hasn’t been all bad.

Martin has had some decent finishes in the last 5. At Talladega, he started second and finished fifth. At Kansas last weekend, he started ninth and finished sixth. Truex Jr. can win this. So at the odds, he’s worth a look.
