2022 NFC West Division Race Odds and Preview
Los Angeles RamsOdds to Win 2022 NFC West Division Title: +130 The Rams made NFL history by becoming only the second team to win the Super Bowl on their own home turf just one year after Tom Brady and the Buccaneers also accomplished that feat. Matthew Stafford finally proved that he’s an elite quarterback and is paired up with one of the best wide receivers in the game in Cooper Kupp. LA’s defense is also just as loaded with talent, which is why the team is currently the odds-on favorite to win the 2022 NFC West title.
San Francisco 49ersOdds to Win 2022 NFC West Division Title: +170 As the Joker to the Rams’ Batman, the 49ers would’ve made it to the Super Bowl and not their heated division rivals. The Niners won six straight meetings against the Rams prior to that crushing loss in last year’s NFC Championship Game and have been playoff contenders under Kyle Shanahan since 2019. What’s limiting San Fran’s odds of reclaiming the division crown, since that stellar 13-win 2019 season though, is the team’s commitment to start young quarterback Trey Lance over veteran Jimmy Garoppolo, with the Niners seeking a higher ceiling with Lance over Garoppolo’s steady floor of production.
Arizona CardinalsOdds to Win 2022 NFC West Division Title: +333 It’s quite tough to gauge just how much potential is left in the Cardinals. Kyler Murray and Co. have had strong starts to their campaigns in each of the last two seasons only to crumble down the stretch. The six-game suspension of five-time Pro Bowl wideout DeAndre Hopkins will likely limit Arizona’s notorious early-season runs this 2022. Then again, the Cards have a solid roster on both sides of the ball even without Hopkins, which makes them a very compelling sleeper pick to win the NFC West title since 2015 considering their 11-win campaign last season is their best showing yet under Kliff Kingsbury.
Seattle SeahawksOdds to Win 2022 NFC West Division Title: +1,400 The once-celebrated Seahawks franchise has fallen from its lofty perch and is in full rebuild mode in 2022. Seattle didn’t even make a play for the likes of Baker Mayfield or the aforementioned Garropolo to fill in the starting QB void left by Russell Wilson. The Legion of Boom is predicted to make but whimpers across the league this coming season, but their odds as longshots to return to the NFC West’s summit is still an enticing proposition for as long as head coach Pete Carroll is at the helm of operations.
