AFC Championship – Cincinnati Bengals vs. Kansas City Chiefs
- NFL Odds: Chiefs -7
Why the Bengals will cover the spread
No team is hotter heading into the championship game than the Cincinnati Bengals. Joe Burrow and his mates have covered in 6 straight and they’ve done so in different ways. The Bengals beat both the Raiders and Titans with their defense. Going back to the regular season, Joe Burrow used his arm in wins over the Ravens and Chiefs.
Why the Chiefs will cover the spread
The spread is on the high side, yes, but in the victory over the Bills, Kansas City continued to show a new dimension on offense. Running back Jerrick McKinnon has become a viable pass- catcher. He and Travis Kelce were instrumental in helping KC score two touchdowns in the final couple of minutes and then winning the game in overtime.
Who Will Win the 2022 AFC Championship?
Both teams have momentum, but the Kansas City Chiefs offer too many points in this. In the first game, Joe Burrow did what he wanted, throwing for 446 yards and 4 TDs. The Bengals’ defense has gelled during the playoffs, which means Burrow may not have to carry the team to keep it close. At +7, Cincinnati is an overlay agianst a KC squad who had to work extra hard to beat the Bills this past Sunday night.
2022 AFC Championship ATS Pick: Cincinnati Bengals
NFC Championship – San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams
- NFL Odds: Rams -3.5
Why the 49ers will cover the spread
The 49ers used special teams to upset the Green Bay Packers. What is shows is that the team is not only well-rounded, but in every way, the special teams, offense and defense, the squad is focused. Also, San Francisco has no trouble taking on the Rams at SoFi Stadium. SF upset the Rams in Week 18 to stamp their ticket to the playoffs.
Why the Rams will cover the spread
The Los Angeles Rams have turned it on in the NFL postseason. First, the Rams dumped on the Arizona Cardinals. Then in the divisional round, LAR beat up Tom Brady and the Buccaneers. Plenty of times during the win versus Tampa, the Rams could have folded. But Los Angeles stepped it up when they had to, scoring a late touchdown to put it out of reach.
Who Will Win the 2022 NFC Championship?
For the third time this season, ATS rivals San Francisco and Los Angeles take to the gridiron. This time, though, the prize is a trip to the Super Bowl. The Los Angeles Rams played fantastic versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Let’s be fair, though. The Rams tried their hardest to give the game away. If not for Cooper Kupp, Los Angeles may have lost the divisional contest outright.
On Sunday, the Rams battle a team they know well. San Francisco has the edge because they beat Los Angeles after spotting the Rams a 17-point lead in the last head-to-head. Jimmy Garoppolo should have no trouble beating the Rams’ secondary. It took Brady too long to get going. Jimmy G. and SF will get going early. At +3.5, the Niners are an overlay.
