2022 NFL Week 17 Odds, Overview & Picks

By Hank Blaine

Even though there’s just two regular season weeks left in the NFL season, there is so much left to be decided that almost every week 17 matchup has playoff implications.

Check out the latest NFL odds, analysis, and free picks for the best games happening in NFL Week 17.

Top 2022 NFL Week 17 Games to Bet

Dallas Cowboys vs. Tennessee Titans

The Cowboys are 4-1 SU in their last 5, but they’ve gone 2-3 ATS. The Boys have struggled to cover spreads. They likely wouldn’t have covered in their last versus Philly if not for a late fumble by Eagles running back Miles Sanders.

But although Dallas hasn’t covered a lot of spreads, they face a disaster of a team on Thursday night. Tennessee is 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5. Dallas wins and covers.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: Dallas Cowboys

Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions

The Lions rolled into their Christmas Eve matchup against Carolina on a 7-game spread winning streak. Detroit failed both SU and ATS versus the Panthers.

Carolina is a much better team than the Chicago Bears. The Bears are 1-5 ATS in their last 6. Detroit should have no trouble dominating a bad Chicago defense.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: Detroit Lions

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

Jacksonville is one of the hottest teams in the league. So although the Jags haven’t always played great football on the road, Jacksonville should cover this spread.

One thing that will help is that Trevor Lawrence has played outstanding football. Lawrence will rush it more in this because the Texans allow close to 167 rushing yards each game.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: Jacksonville Jaguars

Miami Dolphins vs. New England Patriots

Miami might be in some trouble. The Dolphins are 1-3 SU and ATS in their last 3.

The Patriots have gone 1-4 against the spread in their last 5. New England has made boneheaded plays twice late in the last two games, both losses. But Miami doesn’t play nearly as well on the road. New England is the play.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: New England Patriots

Indianapolis Colts vs. New York Giants

The Giants are the much better team. The Colts defense will keep them in this but like what happens in every Indianapolis game, the D will tire.

NYG running back Saquon Barkley will take over in the fourth quarter. Don’t be surprised if the Giants win this 14 to 3.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: New York Giants

San Francisco 49ers vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The scorching San Francisco 49ers are 7-1 against the spread and 8-0 straight up in their last 8. This is on the road but it doesn’t matter where SF plays.

The Niners are playing unbeatable football. Vegas got lucky versus the Patriots and then failed against Pittsburgh in their last two. SF rolls.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: San Francisco 49ers

Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay is playing great football. So it’s no coincidence that the Packers show up the -3 favorite over the Minnesota Vikings.

In 2 must win games, Green Bay has come up huge. The Vikings required a 61-yard field goal versus the New York Giants to win their last. Green Bay easily covers the -3.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: Green Bay Packers

Buffalo Bills vs. Cincinnati Bengals

Buffalo is playing well. Cincinnati, though, is the best team the Bills have faced since losing a home game to the Vikings back in week 10.

The Bengals have won and covered in 9-of-10. Cincinnati has the edge because this happens on their field. Cincy is the play.

2022 NFL Week 17 Pick: Cincinnati Bengals
