Among the top three choices, Scheffler, Rahm, and McIlroy, which golfer appears ready to win the 2022 PGA Championship?

Scottie Scheffler won the Masters and finished a respectable fifteenth at the AT&aT Byron Nelson and Jon Rahm heads into this after winning the Mexico Open, but although both those favorites have shot well, the player to back among the three is McIlroy.

Rory is playing great. McIlroy shot a final round 64 at the Masters to finish at -7 and in second place. He almost caught Scheffler. Then in the follow up tournament, the Wells Fargo Championship, McIlroy shot a -4 to finish fifth.

The former world’s number 1 is sitting on a massive tournament. Come Sunday, expect Rory to have a shot to lift the PGA Championship trophy.

Name the golfer at odds of +1600 to +2000 that’s the best bet to win the PGA Championship

Thomas, Morikawa, and Cantlay are good enough to win this. But the golfer to back in this odds group is Jordan Spieth. Jordan is playing his best golf of the season. After missing the cut at Augusta, Spieth rallied at the RBC Heritage, shooting a 66 final round and beating Patrick Cantlay in a playoff to take the title.

Spieth followed up the RBC Heritage victory with a second-place finish at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Jordan has finally got the swing down. Give Spieth a big chance to win the PGA Championship.

Which golfer at +2000 to +4000 odds should be on every golf handicapper’s radar?

At +3000, Hideki Matsuyama is a slight overlay. Matsuyama should head into the weekend with a chance to win the trophy. The 2021 Masters Tournament winner played well enough to finish fourteenth at Augusta. If not for a disastrous 77 third round, Matsuyama may have finished in the top ten at the Masters.

Hideki followed up the decent Masters finish with a third-place finish at the Byron Nelson. Matsuyama shot a ridiculous 62 round four to finish at -24, a stroke behind McIlroy at -25, and 2 strokes behind K.H. Lee, who also won the AT&T Byron Nelson in 2021, at -26. The odds on Hideki Matsuyama to win the PGA Championship are more than fair.

What two underdogs have the best chances of taking the year’s second major championship?

At +7000, Tiger Woods for sure is worth a look. Yes, he probably won’t finish in the top twenty, but we get 70-to-1 on the greatest golfer in history and the greatest golfer in history is determined to get back to playing his best.

Max Homa shouldn’t offer +6000 odds. Homa finished tenth at the Genesis Invitational, seventeenth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, thirteenth at The Players Championship, and won the Wells Fargo Championship in his last tournament played. If not for the forty-eighth at the Masters, Homa’s odds would be somewhere in the +3000 to +4000 range. So at +6000, we’re getting a lot of value on Max to win his first major.
