2023 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobile 1 NASCAR Odds & Prediction

By Hank Blaine

And then there were eight. Heading into Sunday’s 4Ever 400, formerly called the Dixie Vodka 400, only eight drivers can win the NASCAR Cup. Joe Gibbs Racing boasts three in Denny Hamlin, Christopher Bell, and Martin Truex Jr. Two Hendrick drivers made the cut, Kyle Larson and William Byron. The other three drivers are Chris Buescher, Ryan Blaney, and Tyler Reddick. Did any of the eight make the picks list?

2022 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobile 1 Recap

Kyle Larson, who leads the standings heading into this year’s 4EVER 400, took home the top prize. Ross Chastain followed Larson in second and A.J. Allmendinger, who won last weekend’s event, finished third.

Austin Dillon, Brad Keselowski, and Martin Truex Jr. finished fourth, fifth, and sixth. Truex Jr.’s teammate, Denny Hamlin, crossed the line in seventh. The eighth through tenth drivers were Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Daniel Suarez.

Top Choice to Win the 2023 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobile 1

Second in the standings, William Byron is a great pick to win the 4EVER 400. Last season, Byron won the pole in this race. He fell back to twelfth place, but the fact he started first means Byron can get it done over this track.

In last week’s race, the South Point 400, William finished second. So he has some ground to make up on teammate Kyle Larson. But Byron offers +750 odds compared to Larson’s ridiculously underlaid +275 odds.

Not only that, but Byron is in great form. Before the seventh place finish, Byron had won at Texas and had finished second at both Talladega and Charlotte.

Second Choice to Win the 2023 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobile 1

The points standings leader started second in Vegas and then motored home first to grab the checkered flag. Larson now heads to a race that he won in 2022.

For sure, Kyle can make it two straight. But the odds are crazy. No NASCAR driver should offer odds less than +500 to win any race. If the odds were at our 5-to-1 cut off, we’d consider. But at +275, we can’t put Larson ahead of Byron.

Third Choice to Win the 2023 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobile 1

Ross Chastain finished second in last year’s NASCAR Cup Playoff. This season, Chastain made it to the Round of 12, but that’s it.

Even though he’s out of the running for the Cup, the third choice will be motivated to play spoiler. Chastain finished second behind Larson last year. So Ross should have a shot to play the spoiler role.

Top Underdog to Win the 2023 4EVER 400 Presented by Mobile 1

Like Chastain, Brad Keselowski didn’t do enough at the South Point 400 to make it to the Round of 8. Also like Chastain, Keselowski won’t let the fact he can’t win the Cup stop him from trying to take home the 4EVER 400 trophy.

Brad finished a decent fifth at last week’s race in Vegas. Keselowski also finished fifth in this in 2022.

Brad started ninth last year. A better starting position in the 2023 rendition will boost his chances of victory. If you’re looking to play an underdog with a shot offering a square price, check out Brad Keselowski.
