2022 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400 Recap
The 2022 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500 had a surprising finish. Tyler Reddick, one of the favorites to win the 2023 race, took the checkered flag and Joey Logano finished second, but a surprise driver took third place.
Justin Hailey finished behind Reddick and Logano. Fourth place went to Ryan Blaney, Chase Briscoe finished fifth, and Erik Jones finishes sixth. William Byron took seventh place ahead of Brad Keselowski in eighth.
Kyle Larson, the opening odds chalk to win this year’s event, finished ninth. Denny Hamlin crossed the line tenth.
Top Choice to Win the 2023 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400
Hamlin is on fire. Before taking the checkered flag at Bristol, in the previous race, Denny moved all the way up from a fourteenth place starting position at Kansas Speedway to finish second.
The Joe Gibbs driver started second at Bristol and then overtook pole winner Christopher Bell to win. Hamlin held off Larson, who made a massive move from thirty-sixth to second.
Denny is driving too well to ignore. Also, his crew and his car are in fantastic shape. The crew is making all the right moves. Hamlin’s two-race run should continue with another checkered flag victory.
Second Choice to Win the 2023 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400
Bell won the pole at Bristol in the last. He had a decent race, finishing third behind Hamlin and Larson.
At the 2022 NASCAR Auto Trader EchoPark Automotive 500, Bell finished thirty-fourth after starting twenty-second, which explains the +1100 odds to win on Sunday.
Christopher is driving well and his crew is on point. So we shouldn’t expect another disastrous EchoPark Automotive 500 like the 2022 race. Give Bell a better shot to score the win than the 11-to-1 odds indicate.
Third Choice to Win the 2023 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400
The co-second choice should improve upon the fifteenth place finish at Bristol in the last. Reddick not only won this race in 2022, but he finished second at Darlington Raceway and won at Kansas Speedway in the prior two events this year.
So Reddick is in decent form. If the odds were higher, he’d be the second choice. But at +700, Bell rates a tick above Reddick on our board. If you don’t mind the +700, give Tyler a long look to win a second straight AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 500.
Top Underdog to Win the 2023 AutoTrader EchoPark Automotive 400
At Bristol, Logano suffered an accident that led to a thirty-fourth place finish. We should throw out Joey’s performance in the last. It isn’t a correct representation of how he’s been driving.
Logano finished fifth at Daytona and fifth at Kansas in two out of the last four races. If you agree, you can do much worse than siding with Joey Logano at the given odds.
The fact he finished second behind Reddick in this Sunday’s race in 2022 is a sign Joey has a much bigger shot of winning the checkered flag than the 30-to-1 odds indicate.
