The 2023 Honda Classic has been a fixture on the PGA TOUR since 1972, back when it was dubbed the Jackie Gleason’s Inverrary Classic. Honda has been the sponsor of the event since 1982 and the Champion Course of the PGA National Resort has been the setting of the annual tournament since 2007.
A huge prize purse worth $8.4 million is at stake this week in Palm Beach. That’s a $400,000 increase in total payout from the $8 million prize purse in 2022, and this continues the TOUR’s efforts of increasing payouts for the majority of their events on the calendar.
