2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Odds
For the past two seasons, the NFL Offensive Player of the Year Award has gone to a wide receiver. The current odds would indicate that another stellar wideout is poised to win the award in 2023, including the reigning OPOY winner himself. Exactly who are the offensive juggernauts worth placing some stakes on as the prime offensive threat in the league this upcoming season?
Nitrobetting is here to take your bets into the end zone this 2023 NFL season. This time, let’s break down several players that are seen as favorites, sleepers, and longshots to win the 2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year and their corresponding odds of winning the coveted award.

Ja’Marr Chase
Had it not been for a hip injury that limited Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase to just 12 starts last regular season, the two-time Pro Bowl selection might’ve won the Offensive Player of the Award. Yet even missing about a quarter of the season, Chase still managed to eclipse the 1,000-yard receiving mark and hauled in nine touchdowns. The 2021 Offensive Player of the Year is back in full strength and, thus, many bettors are high on the former LSU standout to have an even better campaign in 2023 than his banner debut in 2021.
Justin Jefferson
Speaking of former LSU standouts, Chase’s old teammate, Justin Jefferson, already reached the OPOY milestone just last season. The electric Vikings wideout set new career-highs of 128 receptions and 1,809 receiving yards in his third season to easily beat out the rest of the competition for the OPOY award in 2022. Through his first three seasons in the NFL, Jefferson has already amassed over 4,800 receiving yards in 50 games; a feat that not even the likes of legendary wideouts Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and Randy Moss were able to accomplish. In turn, Jefferson is a rightful favorite to repeat as the NFL’s Offensive Player of the Year and become the first back-to-back winner of the award since Marshall Faulk’s three-peat from 1999 to 2001.
2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Dark Horses
Deebo Samuel
Multi-gadget wideout Deebo Samuel turned heads in 2021 as the 49ers’ dual-threat weapon both downfield and in the backfield with over 1,700 yards from scrimmage and 14 touchdowns with eight of those TDs coming on the ground. Samuel continued to be used in crucial rushing situations last year, but his attempts were more limited thanks to the mid-season arrival of Christian McCaffrey. In fact, McCaffrey currently has the third-best odds to win the OPOY award in 2023 (+1,400). Deebo is so athletically gifted that he also deserves some recognition as a viable sleeper pick to become the next NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
Travis Kelce
At the end of his already decorated career, Travis Kelce will go down as one of if not the best tight ends to ever play in the NFL. The Chiefs’ top receiving option in 2022 finished with a new career-high of 12 receiving TDs and even extended his streak of 1,000-yard receiving seasons to seven (and counting). Unfortunately, Kelce falls victim to playing second fiddle to reigning league MVP Patrick Mahomes. Another thing holding back Kelce from being the 2023 OPOY award-winner is that no tight end has ever won the award. Regardless, he’s a decent sleeper pick to make history this upcoming season, especially if the Mahomes-to-Kelce connection reaches new heights.
2023 NFL Offensive Player of the Year Huge Reach
Odell Beckham Jr.
It wasn’t long ago when Odell Beckham Jr. was seen as a future Hall-of-Famer after he busted onto the NFL scene and easily won the 2014 Offensive Rookie of the Year award. Fast forward to the present day, and OBJ now finds himself as a Raven after sitting out the entirety of 2022; a year after winning the Super Bowl with the Rams. Beckham is a nice addition to a Baltimore team starving for a deep-ball threat in the passing game. Then again, former MVP Lamar Jackson is a borderline Offensive Player of the Year candidate himself at +1,900 and is a much safer bet than Beckham. In turn, the latter can be seen as no more than a longshot to win the award, especially after being inactive for a full NFL season.
