The underdog in this, Marta Kostyuk, has already pulled off an incredible upset victory. In her first, Kostyuk threw down against 8-seed Maria Sakkari. Kostyuk lost the first set 6-0 but then rallied to win the next two sets.

Paula Badosa Gibert won her first match in straight sets. Kostyuk could surprise. But the way Gibert handled first round rival Alison Riske-Armitraj suggests the chalk prevails.

One of the best matches of the day happens in the third round on the women’s side when American Sofia Kenin takes on Ukrainian Elina Svitolina.
