Most teams in college football will struggle to reach the 10-wiun mark. In a 12-game regular season, 10 wins imply the team has lost just 2 games. Few college football teams can maintain their focus for 10 wins. But every college football season, there are some teams, the coveted mark. Check out six teams that are almost assured of winning 10 games in the 2024 NCAAF Season.

Georgia Bulldogs

UGA isn’t just going to win 10 games. The Dawgs are going to go undefeated. The schedule isn’t exactly easy with road contests versus Texas, Ole Miss, and Alabama.

But Georgia is better than of their opponents. The Bulldogs aren’t simply better, they’re also motivated after missing out on last year’s College Football Playoff. 12 wins is the goal.

Ohio State Buckeyes

This season is cupcake city for the Ohio State Buckeyes. The toughest contest is a road matchup versus Oregon on Oct 12. Even if the Bucks lose that game, they will win all their other contests to finish at 11-1.

Michigan must travel to Columbus and for some reason, the Buckeyes don’t have to play USC or Wisconsin. A road game versus Penn State will be a chance for Ohio State to show off.

Arizona Wildcats

The Cats continue to fly under the radar as evidenced by their 7.5 win total. But Arizona is one of the most accomplished teams in the Big 12.

Zona lost few players to Washington after 2023 head coach Jedd Fisch decided to take Washington’s head coaching job. Arizona will have an electric offense, one of the better offensive lines in the nation, and a strong defense. 2 losses is the Wildcats’ top.

Ole Miss Rebels

The Rebels project to go 10-2 this season. The 2 losses will happen against LSU and Georgia. Outside of LSU and Georgia, the Rebels should dominate every other team on their schedule, including blasting Florida and Oklahoma.

No Texas, no Alabama, and no Missouri means the Rebels roll. 10 wins is a given.

SMU Mustangs

Like Arizona in the Big 12, SMU is flying under the radar in the ACC. The Mustangs have a couple of tough games versus Florida State and at Louisville, but other than those two matchups, SMU should roll through the season.

Southern Methodist had a great 2023 and brings an air raid offense that few ACC teams can handle defensively. SMU goes 10-2, if not undefeated, in 2024.

Texas Longhorns

The road games, Michigan, Vanderbilt, Arkansas, and Texas A&M are versus opponents the Horns should squash. The toughest game, versus Georgia, happens in Austin.

Sure, the Dawgs should spank the Longhorns. But if Texas falls to Georgia, that’s 1 loss. Oklahoma doesn’t have Dillon Gabriel to bail them out in 2024 while Alabama, LSU, Mizzou, and Ole Miss aren’t on the Longhorns’ schedule. Steve Sarkisian’s fellas win at least 10 and should win 11.
