In addition, Elliott’s win means that Hendrick has taken the top spot in the last two races because William Byron won at Martinsville. Top Choice to Win the 2024 Geico 500
In the last four races, William Byron’s worst finish was a seventh at Richmond. Other than finishing seventh at Richmond, Byron won at both the Circuit of the Americas and at Martinsville.
Last Sunday, Byron finished third behind Brad Keselowski in second and teammate Chase Elliott in first. William finished well in this last year. He started eighteenth and moved his way up to seventh. Byron, for sure, could win a third race in the last five and the odds are decent at +1000.
Second Choice to Win the 2024 Geico 500
2023 was a tough year for Chase Elliott. The start to the 2024 NASCAR Season wasn’t great either, but since a fantastic ride in Richmond, Elliott has begun to pick things up.
At Richmond Raceway, Elliott finished fifth after starting second. Chase picked things up at Martinsville, staring third and finishing third. Then last Sunday, Elliott put it all together by winning in Texas.
Don’t expect Chase to bounce. He’s driving great and when he gets it going, he keeps it going.
Third Choice to Win the 2024 Geico 500
Last year’s Geico 500 winner finished ninth at Texas Motor Speedway. It was Kyle Busch’s third top ten finish of the year, which doesn’t make him a great pick to win on Sunday.
Still, Kyle Busch won this last year and the ninth could be a sign he’s ready to start driving his best. If Busch and his crew are on point, a second straight victory isn’t out of the question.
Top Underdog to Win the 2024 Geico 500
After finishing in the top ten in four straight, Martin Truex Jr. took a breather with an eighteenth at Martinsville. Then in the last race, Truex Jr. finished fourteenth at Texas Motor Speedway.
The fourteenth is better than the eighteenth. If Truex Jr. uses the fourteenth place finish as momentum, he might be able to pull off the upset. Give the Joe Gibbs Racing driver a chance.
