2024 NFL Conference Championship Betting Predictions
The NFC and AFC Championship games are set. In the AFC title game, the first on Sunday, January 28, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce lead the Kansas City Chiefs into Baltimore to take on Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. Then in the second game, the NFC Championship, Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers host Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions. 2024 AFC Championship: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens

Kansas City’s defense has been fantastic all season long. The offense has recently caught up to the defense. Versus the Bills in the AFC Divisional Round, Mahomes and the offense scored on almost every drive.
The rushing attack got going, Travis Kelce got open, and the Chiefs dropped 27 onto one of the best defenses in the league. If Mahomes and KC can get the rushing attack going early against the Ravens, watch out.
No team has dominated as thoroughly as the Baltimore Ravens. Versus Houston in their divisional round game, Baltimore held C.J. Stroud in check and blasted the Texans’ defense with 24 straight points to beat Houston 34-10.
Lamar Jackson threw for 152 yards and 2 touchdowns. Lamar also rushed for 100 yards and a pair of TDs. Jackson is impossible to stop when he’s on his game.
On paper, this will be a close game. But in reality, the Ravens should have no trouble covering the spread. Kansas City looked great moving the ball up and down against Buffalo.
But the Bills were banged up on defense. Buffalo was down to 4 linebackers. They lost a linebacker during the game, which means Travis Kelce got to play against a strong safety or one of the backup linebackers, A.J. Klein, who had no shot of covering Big T.
The Chiefs are going to struggle against a Baltimore D that after allowing 10 points in the first half to Stroud and the Texans, didn’t give up a single point in the second half. Lamar is unstoppable. So no matter what scheme Steve Spagnuolo, KC’s defensive coordinator, comes up with, Jackson will beat it.
2024 AFC Championship: Baltimore Ravens
2024 NFC Championship: Detroit Lions vs. San Francisco 49ers

Detroit’s defense has finally gelled. During the regular season, the Lions were one of the top teams in the NFL against the rush, but versus the pass, the Lions struggled.
In their wild card matchup and in their divisional round game, the defense came up big against two of the better quarterbacks in the NFC, Matthew Stafford for the Rams and Baker Mayfield for the Buccaneers. In both games, although the secondary gave up yards, neither Stafford nor Mayfield could do enough to advance their team.
If the D steps up against Purdy and the Niners’ offense, the Lions can win straight up because Jared Goff and Detroit’s offense are playing fantastic ball.
San Francisco had to rally to beat the Green Bay Packers not because SF has taken a backward step, but because Green Bay has turned into one of the league’s top teams. The Packers decimated the Dallas Cowboys on the road in their wild card game.
So it made sense that the 49ers would struggle against Green Bay. Now that SF has a playoff win under the belt, expect the real Niners, the one that dominates opponents, to show up on Sunday.
San Francisco should win this game but laying 7 is asking too much. The 49ers are the overall better team. However, their defense struggled against Green Bay, and will struggle versus a Lions team with a hot quarterback.
Jared Goff made it to the Super Bowl with the Rams. He didn’t have a great game in a loss to the Patriots, but he made it to the Super Bowl. Goff is making the right decisions and Dan Campbell is making the right calls from the sidelines.
Detroit will push the 49ers throughout this game. Taking the points on the underdog Lions is the play.
