Like every season, the 2024 NFL Week 1 boasts a plethora of exciting matchups. Not every matchup is worth betting, though but contests like Baltimore at Kansas City and Philadelphia versus Green Bay are on the first week’s schedule. Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs

When: Thursday, September 5th, 2024. 8:20pm ET.
NFL Week 1 Odds: Ravens (+3) // Chiefs (-3)

To say Baltimore Ravens fans were disappointed in how the 2023 season ended is an understatement. Lamar Jackson the Ravens fell to Mahomes and the Chiefs at home in the AFC Championship.

In the first game of the season, Baltimore has a shot at exacting revenge when Lamar leads the Ravens into KC to take on Mahomes and the Chiefs. KC is a 3-point favorite in a game that Baltimore is motivated to win straight up. Bet this one for sure.

Green Bay Packers vs. Philadelphia Eagles

When: Friday, September 6th, 2024. 8:15pm ET.
NFL Week 1 Odds: Packers (+1.5) // Eagles (-1.5)

This season’s NFL Week 1 Friday matchup is a good one. Jordan Love, a hot pick to win NFL MVP, leads the Green Bay Packers to Philadelphia to battle Jalen Hurts and the Eagles.

Philly is looking for a bounce back season after a disappointing 2023. The Eagles defense will have to prove itself in this game because Green Bay’s offense is going to rock this season. On the playable meter, this one gets a 10 because Philly is just a -1.5 chalk.

Las Vegas Raiders vs. Los Angeles Chargers

When: Sunday, September 8th, 2024. 4:05pm ET.

Can you think of a better way for Jim Harbaugh to begin his Los Angeles Chargers NFL coaching career, by taking on the rival Vegas Raiders?

Harbaugh has turned the Bolts’ offense into a run first unit. Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins are former bruising Baltimore running backs that will rush behind a massive offensive line that boasts Notre Dame star Joe Alt at right tackle and Rashawn Slater, one of the best tackles in the game, on the left side.

If the Chargers defense steps it up this season, LAC could be a surprise Super Bowl contender. First thing’s first. The Bolts must get by the Raiders at SoFi.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Cleveland Browns

When: Sunday, September 8th, 2024. 4:25pm ET.
NFL Week 1 Odds: Cowboys (-1) // Browns (+1)

The Cowboys show 3 for sure victories on their schedule, and 2 of the for sure wins are against the New York Giants, meaning the Boys must beat an NFC East rival.

The Cowboys start the ridiculously brutal schedule against Myles Garrett and the Browns in Cleveland. This is a must bet game because the line is as fair as it gets at Browns -1.5. If Dallas wins, watch out. Beating Cleveland’s exceptional defense on the road is no small feat. So a victory could boost the Boys’ confidence to the moon.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions

When: Sunday, September 8th, 2024. 8:20pm ET.
NFL Week 1 Odds: Rams (+3.5) // Lions (-3.5)

The Detroit Lions and L.A. Rams, two favorites to win the NFC, face off in NFL Week 1. The game could have playoff implications because both the Rams and the Lions can ill afford any losses given how tight the NFC Playoff race projects.

Detroit has the edge. But the Rams’ defense has a star in the making in Ernest Jones IV and rookie Jared Verse. The linebacker pairing could disrupt Detroit’s offense for sure, while the Rams’ offensive line will be better this season and Cooper Kupp is healthy to aid Matthew Stafford, Puca Nacua, and Kyren Williams. This one is going to be good.

New York Jets vs. San Francisco 49ers

When: Monday, September 9th, 2024. 8:20pm ET.
NFL Week 1 Odds: Jets (+5.5) // 49ers (-5.5)

We know the San Francisco 49ers are legit. But how good are the Jets? If Aaron Rodgers clicks with Garrett Wilson, the Jets offense should be stellar because the offensive line is much improved and Breece Hall has the makings of being the AFC’s answer to Christian McCaffrey.

The Jets defense should also be fantastic. Although it flew under the radar, the Jets signed away Haason Reddick from the Philadelphia Eagles. In the past two seasons, Reddick has amassed 27 combined sacks. Reddick hasn’t scored less than 11 sacks in any season since 2020.

A Jets win leapfrogs the J-E-T-S to the top of the AFC. The line, Niners -5.5, makes San Francisco an underlay. So if you’re betting right now, take the points on NYJ.
