2023 NFL Divisional Round Betting Guide
NFL Divisional Round action kicks off on Saturday when the Jacksonville Jaguars take on the Kansas City Chiefs. KC is a huge favorite at -8.5. Also, the total is the highest of the four games at 52.5. After the Jags battle the Chiefs, it’s an NFC East clash when the Giants take on the Eagles. Then on Sunday, the Bills host the Bengals and the Cowboys travel to San Francisco. See below for NFL odds, analysis, and free picks both against the spread and over/under the total.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs
- When: Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023. 4:30pm ET
- NFL Odds: Jaguars +8.5 // Chiefs -8.5 // Over/Under Total – 52.5
The Chiefs finished the regular season going 5-11-1 against the spread. The Jaguars had a much better spread record than KC, but last week, Jacksonville was all out to get by the Los Angeles Chargers.
The victory should have given the Jags plenty of confidence. Jacksonville won’t win, but the Jaguars will keep the score difference at 8 or less.
These two should blast through the total. The Chiefs are good for close to 30. Jacksonville has a good enough offense to score at least 27. Don’t be surprised if the Chiefs beat the Jags 35 to 32.
NFL Divisional Round Pick: Jaguars +8.5 // Over 52.5
New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles
- When: Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023. 8:15pm ET
- NFL Odds: Giants +7.5 // Eagles -7.5 // Over/Under Total – 48
Philadelphia got a chance to rest up. In most cases, grabbing home field and getting a week off helps. But in this case, it could be a detriment.
The Giants played fantastic football when upsetting the Minnesota Vikings in their last. Quarterback Daniel Jones rushed for 78 yards, threw for 301 yards, and tossed 2 touchdowns. The G-Men have a ton of momentum.
Philadelphia’s Jalen Hurts didn’t play great in the week 18 victory over NYG. Saquon Barkley and Jones sat for the Giants. So unless Hurts truly is one-hundred percent, the Giants will have a shot at the straight up win.
The defenses should play okay but neither D is set up to stop the opposing team. The Eagles give up too many rushing yards, which means Barkley could dominate, and the Giants play bend but don’t break. Over is the play.
NFL Divisional Round Pick: Giants +8.5 // Over 48
Cincinnati Bengals vs. Buffalo Bills
- When: Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. 3:00pm ET
- NFL Odds: Bengals +5 // Bills -5 // Over/Under Total – 48
No doubt, the Bengals are lucky to have beaten the Baltimore Ravens in last week’s NFL Wild Card matchup. Baltimore was driving for a go ahead touchdown before providing one of the dumbest plays in NFL history.
We won’t go into details. Suffice to say, the Bengals are lucky to have made it to the NFL Divisional Round. Jonah Williams and Alex Cappa, a couple of starting offensive linemen, are questionable for this game.
Without those two, Joe Burrow should struggle to move the football. But Buffalo looked terrible in last week’s victory over the Dolphins. 4.5 points are too many to give to the Bengals.
The total is high for a couple of teams that pride themselves on tough defense. Buffalo allows the second least amount of points per game in the league. Cincinnati allows the sixth least amount of points. Under looks like a solid play.
NFL Divisional Round Pick: Bengals +5 // Under 48
Dallas Cowboys vs. San Francisco 49ers
- When: Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. 6:30pm ET
- NFL Odds: Cowboys +3.5 // 49ers -3.5 // Over/Under Total – 46
The Cowboys dominated a Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad that had been playing decent football. What really impressed was how the Boys may have ended Tom Brady’s career.
But although Dallas looked great when beating Tampa on the road, we can’t forget that the NFC South winners entered the playoffs with an 8-9 record. So Tampa just isn’t a very good football team.
San Francisco might be the best team in the NFL. Niners coach Kyle Shanahan made adjustments at halftime and the 49ers blew out the Seahawks in the second half in their wild card win.
SF should cover the spread. The total seems high for these two teams. Then again, Prescott will struggle to move the football but Brock Purdy won’t. Think 34-24 in favor of the 49ers.
NFL Divisional Round Pick: 49ers -3.5 // Over 46
