By Jeff Stinger

The Dallas Wings and Las Vegas Aces meet Tuesday night for Game 2 of the WNBA Semifinals. It’s the second of back-to-back games played at the Michelob ULTRA Arena, which the Aces will try to capitalize on. Las Vegas finished Game 1 with a comfortable 14-point victory over their competitors. Dallas dropped the ball in the second half of the clash, but we expect a closer scoreline in Game 2. With that, let’s check out what both teams bring to the table this Tuesday.

Las Vegas Aces vs. Dallas Wings 2023 WNBA Playoffs Game 2 Match Information

Why Bet on the Las Vegas Aces?

The Aces controlled Game 1 after the third quarter. They outscored the Wings, 26 to 12, and maintained a double-digit lead since. A’ja Wilson had another stellar night scoring 34 points, eight rebounds, and an assist. Behind her on the scoreboard was Kelsey Plum, who finished her 36-minute stint with 25 points, five boards, and four assists. Joining the duo in the double-digit scoring record were Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray, logging 19 and 13 points, respectively. The two also combined for 14 rebounds and 11 assists to help Las Vegas claim the opening-game victory.

As a team, the hosts average 89.5 points on 42.4% shooting and allow 64.5 points on 35.8% shooting. They have grit and grind on both ends of the floor, which makes them a favorite entering Game 2. The squad also hit 32.6% of looks from deep and 92.5% from the line, while allowing 27.9% shooting from beyond the arc and grabbing 42.5 boards per game.

Ultimately, the Aces are the team to beat here since coming off a sweep of the Sky and limiting their losses to only five games since July 9. Head coach Becky Hammon and her crew hold momentum entering Game 2.

Why Bet on the Dallas Wings?

The Dallas Wings looked solid ahead of Game 1 after coming off a sweep of the Dream. But, the Aces had to spoil the party in a 14-point victory over the Wings. The squad still won nine of their last 14 games and can level the series before heading home.

The Wings average 97.5 points on 50.7% shooting while allowing 78 points on 38.9% shooting. Satou Sabally is the heart and soul of the team’s offense. However, she was held to only 16 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists on opening night. Arike Ogunbowale was behind her with 12 points, three rebounds, and six assists. Natasha Howard had 11, seven, and four, while the trio of Crystal Dangerfield, Odyssey Sims, and Kalani Brown had 10 points each.

Dallas is shooting 36.8% from downtown and 75.6% from the line. These figures have to improve if they want to keep up with the Aces offense. Furthermore, the visitors allow 42.6% shooting from three and collect 42.5 boards per game.

Aces vs. Wings Expert Betting Prediction

We’ve seen what Dallas can accomplish in the playoffs. The Wings have the offensive pieces to compete in this series, and they had some success against the Aces this season. However, Las Vegas has been stellar this season and continues to improve in the last two playoff games so it’s tough to bet against them at home. Nevertheless, covering the spread should be doable for the visitors. The Wings are capable of hitting back if they remain consistent across all four quarters. But, the title of the favorite goes to the host for a second time after a commanding performance on opening night.
