Why Bet on the Alabama Crimson Tide?
Alabama is on a roll and gets a shot at stretching its winning streak to 6 games this Saturday. In Week 5, they shrugged off Ole Miss Rebels 42-21. Before the second half ended, the Crimson Tide managed to take a 28-point lead and held the Rebels scoreless. They gave up 21 points in the second half, but by then, the team already managed to create a 21-point deficit.
In their winning efforts, Bryce Young orchestrated the offense well with pinpoint passing. The quarterback recorded 241 yards on 20-of-26 passing to go with 2 touchdowns and an interception. Jameson Williams was his number one target, ending the night with 65 yards and 5 receptions. But, it was John Metchie and Cameron Latu who found the end zone and had 1 receiving touchdown each after a combined 38 yards.
Going over the Crimson Tide’s rushing plays, it’s clear that they found their stride that night after Brian Robinson Jr. produced a team-high 4 touchdowns after 171 yards and 37 carries. At the end of the game, Alabama recorded 210 rushing yards –132 more than their opponents. This is something that the Aggies have to watch out for if they want to keep the game at arm’s reach.
Defensively, Jordan Battle had the spotlight with 9 tackles (7 solo) followed by DeMarcco Hellams who had 11 tackles (6 solo). Will Anderson Jr. and Phidarian Mathis had 1 sack each and combined for 6 solo tackles. All in all, it was a solid performance by the unit.
Several days ago, head coach Nick Saban announced that star running back Jase McClellan would be out of the season with a knee injury. However, this was followed by more bad news after linebacker Drew Sanders found his way to the questionable list after suffering a hand injury. That said, Chris Braswell and freshman Dallas Turner will have to fill Sanders’ spot until he recovers, which might present an opening for the Aggies this Saturday. Nevertheless, we have to see if the players can acclimatize to the pressure.
Why Bet on the Texas A&M Aggies?
The A&M Aggies were off to a positive start, winning three straight games. But, it was a short-lived streak after they fell into the hands of the Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 4. This was followed by a narrow loss to the Mississippi State Bulldogs 26-2 in Week 5. This time around, the team looks to pull themselves out of the rut as they take on the challenge of a menacing Alabama Crimson Tide squad.
In their losing effort against Mississippi, Zach Calzada recorded 135 yards on 12-of-20 passing. The quarterback managed to score a touchdown and collect an interception as well. It was an underwhelming game for the Aggies after they were held back to only 297 total yards in contrast to their opponents’ 438 yards. On the flip side, Texas A&M performed their rushing plays well. Isaiah Spiller had a team-high 100 yards and 16 carries, while Zach Calzada converted 6 yards to a touchdown in 6 carries.
It was a slow night for the receivers, but Jalen Wydermyer found his way to the end zone after 17 yards and 2 receptions.
On defense, Antonio Johnson Jr. topped the side with 15 tackles (9 solo). Andre White Jr. also did well to produce 8 tackles (5 solo), but it was Demarvin Leal who gave hope to the team after finding 2 sacks and 2 solo tackles during his stint. Additionally, Michael Clemons had a sack on top of 2 solo tackles.
The Aggies were hit hard by injuries after losing two cornerbacks for the rest of the season, Brian George and Myles Jones. They have the talent but have faced major injuries and substandard strategies. If they can get over it on Saturday and the right adjustments are made, it might just be the turning point everyone awaits.

Alabama vs. Texas A&M Expert Betting Predictions
We expect the Crimson Tide to come in guns blazing on Saturday night. The team has the obvious advantage, looking at their track record alone. This should be a straightforward win for Nick Saban and company, but there’s no room for complacency here. Texas A&M is capable of covering the spread and putting pressure on the Crimson Tide. As long as the team gets off on the right foot, there’s a good chance that this turns out to be a more interesting contest than we make it out to be.
