Baltimore Ravens 2022 NFL Draft Best First-Round Targets
Injuries derailed what could’ve been another strong campaign for the Baltimore Ravens, who live and die by the sword that is former league MVP Lamar Jackson. Thankfully, the Ravens have the 14th-overall pick in this year’s draft to re-equip themselves with some fresh talent, particularly on the defensive side of the ball.

Trent McDuffie – Washington (CB)
The massive signing of former Saints safety Marcus Williams is a right step for Baltimore’s overhaul of its defensive secondary. Cornerback remains a huge hole for the team, though, especially with three of its free-agent CBs finding new homes this offseason. That being said, Washington’s Trent McDuffie should be available in the middle rounds. McDuffie did not allow a single pass of over 40 yards to opposing quarterbacks in his final season, and the undersized yet highly-skilled corner would be a nice fit as a slot defender.
Jameson Williams – Alabama (WR)
We wouldn’t be surprised if the Ravens continue to give Lamar Jackson more downfield threats to work with considering that the jury’s still out on often-injured Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. As such, they might want to take the plunge and pick up the best deep-threat wideout in the draft in Bama’s Jameson Williams. However, Williams does carry some injury issues with him entering the pros, which could sway the Ravens in another direction.
Tyler Smith – Tulsa (OT)
The season-ending ankle injury suffered by Ronnie Stanley last November may have the Ravens thinking about replacing their 2019 Pro Bowl section in the near future. In terms of sheer run-blocking prowess at the draft, Tulsa’s Tyler Smith is the belle of the offensive line ball. The likes of Ikem Ekwonu and Evan Neal are higher-touted prospects that Baltimore may have to trade up for, but Smith is a 6-foot-5 run-blocking hulk who possesses unparalleled strength compared to his peers in this year’s draft class.
