FOX Sports

Geoff Scwhartz of FOX Sports sees the Chiefs winning and easily covering the spread as (-7) favorites to win over the Bengals. Schwartz notes that Kansas City is the much superior team in this situation with the added wrinkle that KC’s two playoff losses in the Patrick Mahomes era only came at the hands of a Tom Brady-led team.

Sporting News

Elsewhere, Sporting News’ Bill Bender also agrees that the Chiefs will win the rematch against Cincinnati, albeit with a predicted tight, final score of 31-28.

Bender gives a ton of credit to the Bengals for shocking the Chiefs in Week 17. However, that game was played in Cincy and Bender stated that having home field advantage this time around will be huge for Mahomes, who is 7-1 with 23 passing touchdowns and just one interception in eight career AFC playoff games.

FiveThirtyEight

For a more analytical approach, FiveThirtyEight’s NFL prediction program calculated that the Chiefs have an 81 percent win probability to beat the Bengals this Sunday. It’s the second time this postseason that Kansas City had a win probability of over 80 percent, with the first during the Wild Card Round matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers (86 percent).

The site also made use of their renowned Elo system and predicted that the Chiefs’ Elo point spread is -10; three points higher than the actual spread by the bookmakers.
