Arizona Wildcats

  • 2022 College Football Win Total: Over 2.5

Arizona was one of the worst teams in college football last season. The only victory came at the expense of the California Golden Bears, and Cal was seriously depleted due to COVID-19 positives.

So why in the world would we go over on a team that won a single game in the previous season? Arizona landed the twenty-sixth best recruiting class in the nation. The program also attracted a few talented transfers.

Not only that, but the schedule is light on good teams. Versus BYU and San Diego State could be wins this season. NAU and UCLA could be victories. At Colorado should be a win, at Washington State and at ASU could be wins. So U-of-A has 7 games in which they can secure at least 3 wins. Arizona over 2.5 makes sense.

Alabama Crimson Tide

  • 2022 College Football Win Total: Over 10.5

At 10.5 games, the Tide can lose 1 game and still go over the total. Bama starts the season versus Utah State. The Tide then travels to Texas, hosts UL-Monroe, and hosts Vanderbilt. Alabama is at Arkansas, versus Texas A&M, at Tennessee, versus Mississippi State, at LSU, at Ole Miss, versus Austin Peay and versus Auburn. There isn’t a single opponent on Bama’s schedule that the Tide shouldn’t beat. Even Texas A&M and at Texas should be victories. Alabama figures to go 12-0. So over 10.5 is the play.

Oklahoma Sooners

  • 2022 College Football Win Total: Under 9.5

The Sooners lost their starting quarterback and head coach. Hiring Brett Venables, Clemson’s former defensive coordinator, makes sense. But the rest of the Big 12 has caught up. Baylor, Texas, Iowa State, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, and even Texas Tech should challenge Oklahoma. The Sooners could win 10 games. But the possibility isn’t as great as winning 9.

Ole Miss Rebels

  • 2022 College Football Win Total: Over 7.5

The Rebels should start the season winning their first 7 games. Auburn at home could be a difficult contest, but Lane Kiffin’s squad is better. So if the Rebels win their first 7, they must beat LSU, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Alabama, or Mississippi State to go over the total. Mississippi State at home is the likeliest win. Ole Miss could beat LSU, Arkansas, and Texas A&M on the road. Alabama should beat Mississippi, but the Rebels always play the Tide tough. Over 7.5 makes a ton of sense.

USC Trojans

  • 2022 College Football Win Total: Over 8.5

Almost overnight, USC went from a mediocre program to one of the best in the nation. The win loss total may have climbed from 8.5. Even if it’s now 9.5, or even 10, consider backing over the total. Lincoln Riley has already had a massive impact. Riley secured the services of Oklahoma’s most important players, including quarterback Caleb Miller.

2021 Biletnikoff winner for college football’s top wide receiver, Jordan Addison, transferred from Pittsburgh to SoCal. The Trojans should go undefeated and head to the College Football Playoff ranked first or second in the nation.

LSU Tigers

  • 2022 College Football Win Total: Under 7.5

The Fighting Tigers should win anywhere from 4 to 6 games. 7 games will be pushing it. Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas A&M should be better than LSU. If the Tigers lose to all of those rivals, and win their other games, they’d finish with 5 wins.

If LSU upsets one of their SEC rivals, they’d finish with 6 wins. Upsetting two of the above teams doesn’t sound possible. 6 wins seems like the limit. 7 is the ceiling.
