Why Bet on the Buffalo Bills?

On Monday night, the Buffalo Bills made history once again with the blowout 41-7 home win over the Tennessee Titans. Buffalo is off to a phenomenal start and is the only team in NFL history to beat its first two opponents of a given season with a combined record of over .750 from the previous season; one opponent being the Super Bowl champs, all the more.

Josh Allen continues to prove why he’s the consensus favorite to take home this year’s regular-season MVP award, throwing for 317 passing yards and four touchdowns. Allen’s favorite target, stud wideout Stefon Diggs, is also making a strong case for the Offensive Player of the Year award with his 12 receptions, 148 receiving yards, and three receiving TDs against the Titans.

Not only are the Bills ranked first in points scored (36.0 PPG) and third in offensive yards per game (302.5 YPG), but they’re also second in the league in both points allowed (8.5 PAPG) and yards surrendered to opponents per game (215.0 YAPG). They just recently stymied Tennessee’s former OPOY awardee, Derrick Henry, to just 25 rushing yards on 13 carries and should have no issues containing a pedestrian Dolphins running game in Week 3.

Why Bet on the Miami Dolphins?

After two weeks of action, the Miami Dolphins are living up to their lofty preseason expectations under new head coach Mike McDaniel. Their tense 42-38 comeback victory over the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend just goes to show the leaps and bounds that the Florida franchise has made early into the new campaign.

The Dolphins climbed their way out of a huge 21-point hole entering the final quarter against the Ravens, only for Tua Tagovailoa to rally his team from the brink of defeat. Tagovailoa finished the afternoon going 36-of-50 for a whopping 469 passing yards and six TD passes, making him the NFL’s passing leader with a combined 739 passing yards through two weeks. The lethal wideout tandem of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle also became the first pair of NFL wide receivers to each have at least 11 catches, 170 receiving yards, and two touchdowns in the same game.

Unfortunately, Miami’s middle-of-the-road defense still needs work. As amazing as Tua’s winning comeback effort was, things looked bleak for the Fins early on against Baltimore. Buffalo is a totally different beast on offense, and it wouldn’t be wise for them to assume that they can recover from a huge early deficit in Week 3 against the Bills as easily as they did against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Bills vs. Dolphins Betting Trends

  • The Bills are 4-1 in the last five regular-season road games (SU/ATS).
  • The Bills have won seven straight meetings against Miami (4-2-1 ATS).
  • The totals went over in five of those seven Buffalo-Miami showdowns of late.
  • The Dolphins are on a seven-game home win streak to date (6-1 ATS).
  • The Fins went 3-2 as home dogs last season (SU/ATS).
  • The totals went over in three of the last five Miami home games.

Bills vs. Dolphins Expert Betting Predictions

In what could be the game of the week, expect a ton of fireworks to fly in Raymond James Stadium this weekend between two of the most explosive offenses in the league. The Bills should still prevail with a win, but covering the relatively large spread may be a tall order given how well the Dolphins have looked in the early onset of the 2022 NFL season.
