Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week – October 20th, 2022

By Hank Blaine

After all of the boxing action from last week, it makes sense why there isn’t a high profile match this weekend. But just because there aren’t any huge matches, it doesn’t mean there’s zero boxing action happening on Saturday. Check out five pugilist throw downs with analysis and free picks worth checking out.

Top Boxing Betting Picks of the Week (October 20th, 2022)

MB Boxing Night 14: Night of Violence – Swieradow Zdroj, Poland

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 2022. 1pm ET.

Kamil Mlodzinski vs. Lukas Dekys

Underdog Kamil Mlodzinski will enter the ring with a good 15-5-4 record. Mlodzinski shows 7 knockout wins from the 15 victories and has suffered a single KO loss. The underdog is on a 4-match winning streak. Lukas Dekys doesn’t have the experience Mlodzinski has. The favorite is 7-0 with 3 knockout wins. The reason Dekys is the chalk is because of the undefeated record. But Mlodzinski should use his experience to make this close. Kamil is the pick.

Boxing Betting Pick: Kamil Mlodzinski +137

Damian Wrzesinski vs. Artjoms Ramlavs // IBO Continental Lightweight Title

15-1 Artjoms Ramlavs has power. The underdog has won 8 fights via knockout or technical knockout. Going back to 2020, Ramlavs has won 4 straight bouts. But although Ramlavs has fought great, all 4 fights happened in his native Latvia.

Favorite Damian Wrzesinski is 25-2-2 with 7 knockout or technical knockout wins. Wrzesinski has more experience and at least on paper looks like the better boxer. Ramlavs should suffer his first loss.

Boxing Betting Pick: Damian Wrzesinski -278

Leo’s Boxnacht 13 – Munich, Bayern, Germany

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 2022. 2pm ET.

Emre Cukur vs. Hadilah Mohoumadi

French boxer Hadilah Mohoumadi travels to Germany to take on Emre Cukur. Mohoumadi has a decent 23-6-1 with 16 knockouts record.

Cukur is 19-1 with 3 knockout victories. Emre can box, that’s obvious, but he lacks power. All of Cukur’s wins have happened in Germany. So it’s difficult to know how much real boxing talent he has.

The boxing gyms in France have become much better in recent years. So although he’s lost 2 straight, Mohoumadi could surprise. Taking a shot on the underdog makes sense.

Boxing Betting Pick: Hadilah Mohoumadi +350

Bunn vs. McCrory – Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 2022. 2:30pm ET.

Leon Bunn vs. Padraig McCrory // IBO World Light Heavyweight Title

Boxing Betting Pick: Padraig McCrory -111

Lara vs. Sanmartin – Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico (DAZN)

  • When: Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 2022. 8:00pm ET.

Angel Fierro vs. Jeremy Cuevas

Fierro versus Cuevas is the closest thing we’re going to come this Saturday to a top matchup. The favored boxer is 19-1-2 with 15 kockout or technical knockout wins.

Cuevas has a 14-1 record with 10 wins via KO or TKO. Cuevas hails from Philly while Fierro hails from Mexico. Both these guys are serious dudes.

Fierro should be the chalk, but Angel offers underlay odds. Cuevas is good enough to win this fight. The odds difference should be closer than it is, which means backing the dog is the way to go.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jeremy Cuevas +333
