  • When: Friday, September 9th, 2022. 9pm ET.

Bernard Angelo Torres vs. Frency Fortunato Saya

Norwegian southpaw Bernardo Angelo Torres has a terrific 16-0 record with 7 knockout victories. Torres last fought in January, winning a split-decision 10 round victory over Manuel Perouene.

Frency Fortunato Saya is 13-1 with 10 knockout wins. Torres and Saya fight in the U.S. for the first time on Friday night. Although Torres has the better record, most of his fights happened in Spain while Saya has fought in the Dominican Republic. Spanish fighters often show up to the states with blown up records. Saya is worth a look.

Boxing Betting Pick: Frency Fortunato Saya +100

Joseph Adorno vs. Hugo Alberto Roldan

Adorno versus Roldan should be an entertaining bout. Roldan has a great record. The underdog in this is 16-1-2 with 7 TKO or KO wins. Favorite Joseph Adorno is 16-1-2. The reason Adorno is getting love in this is because he’s won 14 fights via stoppage. The chalk should win this via TKO or KO. All of Roldan’s fights have happened in Argentina. A knockout round prop makes sense if you don’t want to back Adorno on the money line.

Boxing Betting Pick: Joseph Adorno -303

CAA Centre, Brampton, Canada – DAZN

  • When: Friday, September 9th, 2022. 7pm ET.

Mark Smither vs. Andy Almendras

Smither’s promoter signed to fight Almendras to make Mark look good. The underdog in this has a 15-10-1 record. Almendras did win his last bout. But it was against an 0-2 fighter and, like all of Almendras’ fights, happened in his native Bolivia.

Mark Smither is 8-0. The Canadian fighter has never stopped an opponent before the final bell. Smither should get his first KO win on Friday night. So look for a prop that provides better odds.

Boxing Betting Pick: Mark Smither -1667

Josh Wagner vs. Jorge Perez Sanchez

Undefeated Josh Wagner is an excellent boxer. But he’s got just 6 knockout or technical knockout wins in his 12 victories.

Also, the undefeated Wagner hasn’t fought outside of his home nation, Canada. Jorge Perez Sanchez is a tough Mexican brawler who has lost his last couple of bouts. Both fights happened in 2021. Sanchez has had plenty of time to prepare for this. Jorge should be ready to pull off the upset win.

Boxing Betting Pick: Jorge Perez Sanchez +523

O2 Arena, London, England – ESPN+

  • When: September, September 10th, 2022. 2pm ET.

Mikaela Mayer vs. Alycia Baumgardner // Women’s WBO, WBC, IBF Junior Lightweight Titles

Baumgardner’s lone loss happened back in 2018. Alycia is a much better fighter now. She heads into the ring versus undefeated Mikaela Mayer with a strong 12-1 record. Mayer is 17-0.

Mikaela has knocked out 5 of her opponents while Baumgardner has ended 7 of her opponents’ nights early. This should be an excellent bout. Mayer is 3 inches taller, which may account for the odds difference. Still, at -278 the chalk is an underlay so backing

Boxing Betting Pick: Alycia Baumgardner +220

Claressa Shields vs. Savannah Marshall // Women’s Unified Middleweight Championship

Shields versus Marshall should be an excellent boxing match. The odds imply a close bout and for a long time it will be. But there’s a flaw in Claressa’s game. No doubt, she can box. But Shields has 2 TKO victories from her 12 wins. So although she’s undefeated, she lacks power.

That will cost Claressa in this match. Marshall has 10 knockout or technical knockout wins from her 12 victories and can box as well as Shields. Savannah’s power will be the difference.

Boxing Betting Pick: Savannah Marshall -111
