Broncos vs. Chiefs 2023 NFL Week 6 Odds, Preview & Pick
On one hand, the reigning Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs will host a primetime game this Thursday night to help us get over the working week. On the other, the Chiefs will face a struggling Denver Broncos team, which could mean a dud of a TNF matchup considering how KC has dominated its division rival from Mile High for the past half-decade or so.
Nitrobetting is ready to take your bets into the end zone this 2023 NFL season. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming Week 6 divisional showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Why Bet on the Denver Broncos?
Just when things seemed to be turning around for the Denver Broncos, they found themselves back in the losing column with a humiliating 31-21 home loss to the lowly New York Jets. Denver scored a late fourth-quarter touchdown to cut the lead down to three points, but their final offensive possession resulted in a strip-sack and fumble recovery for a TD by the Jets to send the Broncos to 1-4 for the season.
For his part, Wilson was far from the worst player on his team. The former Super Bowl-winning QB completed 20 of his 31 pass attempts for 196 yards and a pair of passing scores with no interceptions. Wilson even ran the ball seven times for 49 rushing yards, as he and rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin averaged seven or more yards per carry, with McLaughlin racking up 68 yards on just nine carries.
Unfortunately, the once-respected Broncos defense has been a liability all season long. They remain the worst stop unit in football, allowing an average of over 450 yards and 36.2 points to opponents per game, with their historically bad 70-point drubbing from the Dolphins still casting a dark cloud over Sean Payton’s head-coaching debut campaign in Mile High.
Why Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs?
It was closer than expected, but the Kansas City Chiefs still managed to pick up their fourth victory of the season by outbattling the Vikings in Minnesota in Week 5, 37-20. That’s now four consecutive wins for the defending Super Bowl champs, as Patrick Mahomes and Co. prepare for another utter dissection of Denver.
Mahomes was cool in the pocket all afternoon against the Vikes, going 31-of-41 for 281 passing yards and a pair of passing TDs. One of those scores went to star tight end Travis Kelce, who finished with team-highs of 11 targets, 10 catches, and 67 receiving yards along with a receiving touchdown late in the third quarter to put the Chiefs up by 14 points.
The Chiefs are one of only six NFL teams to allow an average of 16 points or fewer to their opponents thus far. Their defense is also ranked ninth in the league surrendering an average of 301.4 yards to the opposition. Simply put, Kansas City is built not just to extend its winning ways against the Broncos this Thursday night, but to go all the way to the Super Bowl for the second straight year.

Broncos vs. Chiefs Expert Betting Predictions
There’s no reason to deny that this TNF affair could very well result in an easy victory for the streaking Chiefs, especially against a divisional rival that they’ve owned for what feels like an eternity. Then again, the Broncos’ offense hasn’t been as terrible as expected with Wilson keeping his gang afloat on the attack. KC takes this, but Denver manages to cover the long underdog spread, losing by no more than nine points in a contest that the Chiefs do cause some scares for their fans.
