Milwaukee’s regular-season series with Phoenix ends on Tuesday night. Their first meeting happened in February when the Bucks won 104 to 101. This is the Sun’s final chance to hit back and improve its record heading into the postseason. They host the upcoming game and will try to bounce back from an 11-point defeat to the Dubs. Meanwhile, the visitors look solid with four wins in five games and just beat the Western Conference third seed, Sacramento Kings, 133-124.

Why Bet on the Milwaukee Bucks?

The Bucks’ starting five are healthy coming into the matchup. Leading scorer Giannis Antetokounmpo is averaging over 30 points and nearly 12 rebounds per game. He did miss a few games recently due to minor injuries but now looks solid with a few weeks of the regular season left. Khris Middleton is starting to pick up the pace as well. Since returning from injury, Middleton averages 13 points in 24 appearances. He’s a reliable all-rounder who also averages over four rebounds and four assists per game.

As a team, the Bucks might not look as good as the Suns on the offensive side. They average 116.1 points per game on a 21th-best 46.8% shooting. While the team does enough to hit 54.9% of their close and mid-range shots and make 36.7% of three-point attempts, there’s still some work to be done here. Ultimately, offensive consistency is something we look for when watching the Bucks.

Defense is where Mike Budenholzer and his boys strive. As a team, the Bucks limit opponents to 112.1 points per game. The team’s notorious shooting defense limits opponents to just 45% on the floor. This is accomplished with a league-best 51.0% opponent two-point percentage and a fourth-best opponent three-point percentage at 34.7%.

Why Bet on the Phoenix Suns?

It’s going to be another tough night for the Suns without prolific scorer Kevin Durant on the floor. The starting power forward’s position will have to be filled in by Torrey Craig, while starters Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton retain the big three against the Bucks.

Booker remains the team’s top scorer. Although he missed a handful of games due to injury, he managed to average 27.65 points per game to go with 4.55 rebounds and 5.85 assists. Ayton and Paul are the two other double-digit scorers on the starting lineup. The Suns average 113.4 points per game on 46.8% shooting. They are particularly dangerous from deep and hit 37.6% of their three-pointers.

Monty Williams and the Suns are synonymous with defense. In 68 games, the team ranks fourth-best in opponent points at 111.3 per game. They have an incredible shooting defense that holds competitors to 46.5%, including an ironclad 52.8% opponent two-point shooting percentage. Additionally, the team collects 52.8 total rebounds per game. Ayton leads this stat with averages of 10.21 boards in 58 games played.

  • The Suns are 3-2 in the last five games at Footprint Center (2-3 ATS).
  • The Suns are 1-4 in the last five contests against the Bucks (1-4 ATS).
  • The totals went over in four of the Suns’ last five home games.

Bucks vs. Suns Expert Betting Prediction

The Suns without KD and a seemingly shallow bench might have a tough time playing a great two-way team like the Bucks. Phoenix is still out and low on confidence since losing to the Warriors last night, so the visitors could use that to their advantage. Once the Bucks maintain momentum up to the final quarter, we could see another Suns defeat here. The significantly healthy lineup of the visitors plays a huge role here.

Nevertheless, the home advantage goes to the Suns. They could use this to regain dependence and pick up where they left off before their turbulent run. The numbers are too close to tell, which makes this a must-watch for basketball fans and bettors.
