Why Bet on the Los Angeles Chargers?
The Chargers offense did what it had to in LAC’s 24-19 week 1 victory against the Las Vegas Raiders. Justin Herbert had a fantastic game.
Los Angeles’ quarterback completed 76.5% of his passes while throwing for 279 yards and tossing 3 touchdowns. Herbert was so effective the Chargers barely rushed the ball, acquiring just 76 total rushing yards.
Keenan Allen caught 4 passes for 66 yards, a 16.5 yards per catch average. Former Rams tight- end Gerald Everett caught a TD pass. Wide receiver DeAndre Carter and fullback Zander Horvath caught the other touchdown pass.
The defense played great. The Bolts forced 3 Derek Carr interceptions and sacked the Raiders quarterback 5 times for 29 lost yards. The defense allowed Josh Jacobs to rush for 5.7 yards per carry, but Las Vegas had to throw because Herbert and the Chargers built an early lead.
Why Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs?
No Tyreek Hill? No problem. Patrick Mahomes was ultra-effective in KC’s 44-21 demolition of the Arizona Cardinals. Mahomes threw for 360 yards and tossed 5 touchdowns. He also kept his jersey clean because the Chiefs’ offensive line didn’t allow a sack.
Travis Kelce caught 8 passes for 121 yards. The KC tight-end also pocketed a TD. Both Juju Smith-Schuster and Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Mahomes top two WR targets this season, had good games.
Smith-Schuster caught 6 passes for 79 yards. Valdes-Scantling grabbed 4 throws for 44 yards. But although the passing attack was on fire, the rushing attack had to have put the biggest smile onto coach Andy Reid’s face.
Kansas City rushed for a 4.7 per carry average. The Chiefs totaled 128 yards on the ground.
KC’s defense sacked quick Arizona quarterback Kyler Murray twice. The Chiefs allowed the Cardinals to rush for 103 yards and a 4.7 per carry average. Another note is that KC didn’t force an Arizona turnover. The Chiefs also allowed the Cardinals to score 3 touchdowns.

Chargers vs. Chiefs Expert Betting Predictions
The Chiefs looked mighty impressive in the win over the Cardinals. Not only did KC dominate on the scoreboard, but the game happened in Arizona. But before dumping on the Chiefs, it’s important to note that the 2022 Cardinals are a shell of the 2021 squad. Arizona’s top receiver was Greg Dortch. If the name isn’t familiar don’t worry. Dortch is an undrafted 2-year player from Wake Forest.
Zach Ertz remains on the team, but Ertz is in his ninth season. When it comes to Arizona’s defense, it’s even worse. J.J. Watt sat out of the game. Also, the Cards are desperate for depth along the defensive line. So Watt’s absence was a big reason why AZ couldn’t produce a pass rush.
Things will be different for KC on Thursday night. The Chiefs can’t double-team both Kahlil Mack and Joey Bosa. Not only that, but the Bolts send one of the top secondaries in football to the field.
Kansas City is in for a shock. The 2022 Los Angeles Chargers are a much better team than the 2021 squad. LAC pulls off the money line upset win.
