Why Bet on the Kansas City Chiefs?

In season’s past, the the Chiefs have had to rely on their offense, but in 2023 Steve Spagnuolo’s unit is dominating. KC hasn’t given up more than 24 points in any game this season, and the Chiefs allowed 24 points just once, in a 24-9 loss to the Denver Broncos.

In their last 3 games, Kansas City’s D has allowed 14 points, 21, and 17. The Chiefs beat the Dolphins 21-14, lost to the Eagles 21-17, and beat the Raiders 31-17 in their last. KC’s defense is adept at stopping the rush and the pass. Chris Jones has 7.5 sacks, and second year player George Karlaftis has 8 sacks.

Patrick Mahomes isn’t posting NFL MVP stats, but the Magic One doesn’t care. All Mahomes cares about are victories. Patrick’s completion percentage is better on the road, over 70%, than it is at home, under 69%. Mahomes’ top target is tight-end Travis Kelce, who has 70 catches for 732 yards, and 5 touchdown grabs.

Running back Isaiah Pacheco is averaging 4.2 yards per carry and has caught 30 passes. The offensive line is playing okay. Mahomes has hit the deck 14 times this season.

Why Bet on the Green Bay Packers?

Earlier in the season, the Packers’ defense was struggling, but in recent games the Packers D has picked it up. In a 20-3 victory over the L.A. Rams, Green Bay yielded just 3 points. The Packers followed up that performance by giving up just 23 to the Steelers on the road in a 23-19 loss.

Green Bay gave up 20 against the Chargers in a 23-20 victory. Then on NFL Thanksgiving Thursday, the Packers yielded 22 on the road in a 29-22 victory against the rival Detroit Lions. Former Michigan player Rashan Gary has been outstanding with 8.5 sacks. Strong safety Rudy Ford has 2 interceptions.

Something changed in Jordan Love’s game after the 23-19 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Almost overnight, Love became one of the better quarterbacks in the NFC.

Jordan tossed a couple of picks versus Pittsburgh, but in his next game, Love had a great performance. Jordan threw for 322 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win over the Chargers. In the victory against the Lions, Love threw for 268 yards and 3 TDs.

Love’s favorite target is emerging as Christian Watson. Watson caught 7 passes against the Lions for 94 yards and 2 touchdowns.
