Cowboys vs. Chargers Game Information
#Chargers should get Quentin Johnston more involved. His ability in the open field can change the way defenses play us. He needs to get the ball more on #MNF#DALvsLAC. pic.twitter.com/6QA2FGmYgr

Why Bet on the Dallas Cowboys?
A much-hyped rematch with the San Francisco 49ers was circled early on by the Dallas Cowboys ever since they lost to the 49ers in last season’s NFC Divisional Game. Unfortunately, the Cowboys still came out flat in Week 6’s rematch, as the Niners cruised to a 42-10 victory in front of a wild Bay Area crowd.
Dak Prescott had no answers for San Fran’s defense, as the leader of America’s Team went just 14-of-24 for 153 passing yards, one touchdown, and three costly interceptions. Lead running back Tony Pollard only gained 29 rushing yards on eight carries and also coughed up a fumble to add to Dallas’ mistake-filled affair against their long-time rivals.
The Cowboys’ defense has been stellar against subpar teams thus far and looked terrible against its first opponent that’s an actual playoff contender. The verdict is still out on the Chargers’ unstable offense, but it’s still a grade above the likes of other weaker offenses that the ‘Boys have faced like the Giants, Jets, and Patriots. Losing veteran middle linebacker Leighton Vander Esch (neck) for the next few weeks is also a significant loss in Dallas’ D that’s tied for the second-most takeaways generated against their opponents with six.
Why Bet on the Los Angeles Chargers?
Will the Week 5 bye work in favor of or against the Los Angeles Chargers? Justin Herbert and Co. entered their bye week with a two-game win streak after a slow 0-2 start and will be greeted upon their return from the bye with a tough matchup against the enraged Cowboys.
Herbert didn’t look that great in his last start against the Raiders in Week 4, throwing his first pick of the season in that game and finishing with just 167 passing yards and a single passing TD. Thankfully, Herbert salvaged his poor passing performance with two rushing scores and the Chargers’ running game racked up 155 rushing yards as a team. Reinforcements are also on the way, as Austin Ekeler is slated to return from his month-long ankle injury on Monday night.
Los Angeles’ defense also came up huge against Vegas, with Khalil Mack tallying six sacks to bump the Bolts up to fifth overall in the NFL with 16 sacks for the season. Unfortunately, LA is still a mediocre defense at best considering that the team is still giving up an average of 404 yards to opponents; second-worst in the league.

Cowboys vs. Chargers Expert Betting Predictions
The Cowboys and Chargers have their respective flaws, making this matchup much closer than what the odds would let on. And while this MNF spectacle will feel more like a Cowboys home game, the Chargers should still get a boost from the added rest from the bye and escape with a close one-possession win as home dogs.
