Broncos QB Bo Nix Chances to Win the 2024 NFL Rookie of the Year
Right now, Bo Nix doesn’t list as the starter. But as everyone knows, that could change during training camp when quarterbacks get reps with the first team.
If Payton is right about Nix, he’ll get the reigns to the offense from NFL Week 1. If that happens, Nix could have a fantastic rookie season. Payton’s offense revolves around the pass. Not only that, but Nix has the added benefit of being a dual threat quarterback much like what Payton had with Taysom Hill in New Orleans.
If it comes together, Nix can for sure win NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. There are worse +2000 prop options out there than backing Bo Nix to win the award.
Broncos HC Sean Payton Chances to win the 2024 NFL Coach of the Year
If the Broncos make the playoffs, Payton will win the award. But the schedule doesn’t favor Denver getting close to the postseason.
Payton knows this. Last season, Sean had to get his feet wet in the AFC and figure out where his team stood. Season 2 is when the rebuild truly begins. Expect the Broncos to use 2024 to develop the young roster, which means Denver doesn’t win enough for Sean Payton to score the NFL Coach of the Year Award.
Denver Broncos to Chances to Win the 2024 AFC West Division
The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers will battle for the NFC West title. KC has a rough schedule. So the Chiefs aren’t a lock.
Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers has a deep and talented roster. LAC will finish first or second in the division. Player to player, the Raiders have a better roster than Denver has. So Las Vegas should finish third in the division, which means Denver will finish in last place in the AFC West.
Denver Broncos to Chances to Win the 2024 AFC Conference
The odds are enticing, but it’s impossible to see the Broncos making the playoffs, much less winning the AFC. Even if by some miracle the Broncos do make the postseason, they will have to beat teams like the Jets, Ravens, Chiefs, Bengals, and Chargers to win the conference.
Those teams are much better than the Broncos. Denver won’t win the AFC.

The Broncos face a brutal schedule that includes 3 straight playoff possible opponents in a row three times during the season. The first happens early when Denver takes on Pittsburgh and has back to back road games versus the Buccaneers and Jets.
In the middle of the season, the Broncos are at Baltimore, at Kansas City, and then hosts Atlanta. At the end of the season, Denver travels to the Chargers, takes on the Bengals at Cincinnati, and then hosts Kansas City. So, no, the Broncos won’t make the playoffs.

Denver faces one of the more difficult schedules in the league. The Broncos don’t have much choice but to start Nix right away, which will be a good thing for the former Oregon quarterback.
But it won’t help Denver beat teams like Kansas City and the L.A. Chargers in the AFC West. Not only that, but the AFC is deep and Denver won’t make the playoffs. You can’t win a Super Bowl if you don’t make the playoffs. Even at the odds, Denver is a play against to take home the Lombardi.
