Lions QB Jared Goff Chances to Win the 2024 NFL MVP

The odds are tremendous on one of the most motivated and capable quarterbacks in the league. During the offseason, Detroit ensured Jared Goff was going to stay in the Motor City by handing Goff a massive contract.

Jared won’t disappoint. The Lions signal caller had a fantastic season when throwing for 4,575 yards, 30 touchdowns and just 12 interceptions. Goff, who took the L.A. Rams to the Super Bowl in 2019, could have a better season because both Jahmyr Gibbs and Sam LaPorta will be in their second seasons. At +3500, Jared Goff is a great play to win NFL MVP.

Lions HC Dan Campbell Chances to win the 2024 NFL Coach of the Year

It’s unlikely that Dan Campbell wins NFL Coach of the Year. The award often goes to an HC that surprises. Kevin Stefanski has won the award twice because in both seasons, Stefanski led the Browns to the playoffs when most expected them to fail.

Expectations are that the Lions not only make the playoffs but possibly win the NFC. So matter how well Campbell coaches his team, or how well the Lions do in 2024, Dan won’t win NFL Coach of the Year.

Green Bay will be a good team. Chicago has some talent. Minnesota is going through a transition season. The Lions should be one of the top two teams in the NFC, which means although Chicago and Green Bay will have their moments, Detroit wins the division. At +135, the Lions are an overlay to win the NFC North.

San Francisco is the favorite to repeat as NFC champs. The 49ers look strong, but Detroit should have won the NFC Championship last season. Questionable decisions by Dan Campbell may have led to a loss.

In any case, Detroit is motivated. They’re a logical second choice to take the NFC. So if you don’t like the 49ers or believe that the Lions beat the Niners in an NFC title game rematch, go with the Lions because the odds are fair.

Super Bowl odds on the Detroit Lions have significantly dropped. Detroit opened as a +1800 choice. Since then, money has landed. So much money has landed that the Lions are now at +1300.

The team is loaded on both sides of the ball. Goff should run one of the top three offenses in the NFL while on the defensive side, rookie corner Terrion Arnold and veterans Marcus Davenport and Carlton Davis III join a unit that includes Aidan Hutchinson, Jack Campbell, and run stopper Alex Anzalone. If Detroit’s D is as good as many expect, the Lions will be one of the few teams that can win the 2025 Super Bowl.
