Favorites

Royal Never Give Up

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +150

It’s a close race for the best odds to win the China Qualifier between Royal Never Give Up and the next team on the list. RNG almost has a 300-point lead in the regional standings as we speak and it’s rightfully the top-seeded entry in the CN Qualifier. However, the team has gone winless in its last four matches to date to slowly lose grip of its odds-on favorite status.

Xtreme Gaming

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +200

Always a tough out in every tournament, Xtreme Gaming is arguably a more sound choice when it comes to picking a favorite to win the China Qualifier. Xtreme has a win, two runner-up finishes, and another pair of third-place showings in five tournaments this 2022. The team also picked up a rare win over juggernaut PSG.LGD this past week, albeit by way of a forfeit for its opponent which didn’t need any more tune-up matches for TI11.

Dark Horses

CDEC

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +2200

The leader of China’s Division II standings, CDEC, is one sleeper candidate that deserves more recognition. The team secured a victory at the DPC CN Tour 3: Division II event in July and enters the China Qualifier with a five-match win streak in tow at that. It’s been quite some time since CDEC took the national spotlight by surprise as the runner-up in The International back in 2015, but perhaps it’s time for this upstart Chinese squad to make another underdog run at TI.

Ybb Gaming

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +3300

As the little brother to Xtreme, Ybb Gaming has seen a significant change to its roster this past August. Ybb basically absorbed the entire Dandelion Esports Club, which picked up a victory in the first quarter of 2022 at the DPC CN Tour 2: Division II tourney along with a few more decent showings. The new team culture does limit Ybb Gaming’s chances of winning the China Qualifier, but remains a compelling dark horse pick, regardless.

Huge Reach

ShenZhen

  • The International 2022 Qualifying Odds: +6600

Participating in just three tournaments this year puts ShenZhen in a tough position at the China Qualifier as part of the long path in the lower portion of the bracket. Outside of a fourth-place finish at the aforementioned DPC CN Tour 2: Division II tournament, ShenZhen hasn’t done much to help itself as more than a longshot pick to win the CN Qualifier to everyone’s surprise.
