Red Bull

The reigning champions are one of four teams on the grid that will begin the 2023 season with an unchanged driver duo. True enough, the pair of Verstappen and Perez carried out enough results to bring Red Bull back on top of the Constructors’ Championship podium. After missing out on the title for a few years due to Mercedes’s dominance, the Milton Keynes-based team now has a pairing that can deliver consistent results.

Perez proved that he can keep up with his teammate. But, his turbulent results make us believe there’s more ground to cover if he wants to come out on top. Besides, Christian Horner and Red Bull initially brought him in to give a hand to the number one driver Max Verstappen.

Following their controversy in Brazil at the end of last year and a prior incident in Monaco that sparked theories, we expect to find a more determined Checo lining up. With their relationship under the microscope, Verstappen believes that Perez should know his role in the team. Ultimately, the curious pairing can still bring Red Bull another title considering last year’s outcome. Red Bull tops the Constructors’ Championship race as -110 favorites./p>

Mercedes

Putting experience and young talent is often an effective winning formula. This is the vibe we see between Lewis Hamilton and George Russell at Mercedes. The latter may have claimed the team’s only win of 2022, but his potential was magnified after outscoring Hamilton by 35 points. He is a consistent sight within the top five and holds the right tools and building blocks for a fruitful future in the sport.

As such, Mercedes fought internal issues more than anything else. They battled porpoising issues and a challenging year since the introduction of the new cars. This time around, the team launches itself back into title contention after what they showed in the final weeks of 2022. With upgrades to the car and a determined Lewis Hamilton, there’s always a good chance we see Toto Wolff and company close in on its rivals as +138 favorites to win the 2023 F1 Constructors’ Championship title.

Doubters will be silenced if the W14 unlocks more potential and scores points starting in March. Motivation will flow in and Hamilton’s winning mentality will soar higher than we’ve seen in recent years. In that eventuality, the duo could signal a comeback in 2023 in this make-or-break season.

Ferrari

The Scuderia is holding back its talent with underwhelming cars. To understand the limitations of judging drivers when the machines aren’t capable of winning races, this is the team to look at. Strategic errors and reliability issues are two factors that kept Ferrari tailing Red Bull last season. Despite restoring order in 2022, their efforts weren’t enough to faze the rest of the frontrunners.

Charles Leclerc started last season on a high note, winning two of the opening three races to set the tone in the Championship battle. He showcased a winning mentality and championship pedigree since signing with the team. Sainz, on the other hand, was exposed to his errors and lacked the finesse needed to outpace his teammate. The Spaniard did earn a three-year extension with the team despite his mixed fortunes.

If pre-season testing and their recent car developments get rid of last year’s reliability issues, they have the best machine to put pressure on the defending champions. Ferrari joins the 2023 Formula 1 Constructors’ Championship early favorites list as +550 winners.
