Odds to Win the 2024 NBA Championship

Updated as of June 21st, 2023 [get-out-right event=”2990599″]

Top Pick to Win the 2024 NBA Championship

The thing about the NBA is that when a team rises to the top, they often stay there for multiple seasons. The Warriors dynasty ended last season and it won’t be back for a while. Enter the Denver Nuggets as the new dynasty.

Teams may try to compete with the defending champions, but it’s not likely to happen. Nikola Jokic, the best player in the league, is 28. Jamal Murray is 26.

Aaron Gordon is 27. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is the elder statesman in the starting five at 30. Michael Porter Jr. is the starting five’s baby at 24.

The bench is deep enough for Joker and his mates to win three, four, five, maybe six in a row. As long as the starting sicks together, actually if Nikola, Gordon, and Murray decide to stick together, the Nuggets will be the team to beat.

Second Pick to Win the 2024 NBA Championship

Phoenix made the biggest trade of the season already when acquiring Bradley Beal from the Washington Wizards. Beal moves into the shooting guard spot. Devin Booker becomes the point guard. Josh Okogie and Kevin Durant are solid. But if the Suns want to make their dream of beating the Nuggets a reality, they must trade DeAndre Ayton for a few enforcers.

Phoenix doesn’t require a dominant center like Ayton to score and grab boards. The Suns require at least one big body to play defense in the paint. Let Beal, Booker, and KD score the points. If the Suns pull off an offseason trade, for sure, they will be the top contender to Denver’s dominance.

Third Pick to Win the 2024 NBA Championship

Miami couldn’t hang with Denver but no team in the NBA can, which is why the Heat shows up on our picks list. Erik Spoelstra knows how to get this team to play its best.

Also, there are few leaders in the NBA as effective as Jimmy Butler. Bam Adebayo remains one of the league’s top centers.

In addition, every NBA fans know that Miami GM Pat Riley is already scribbling out potential starting fives to place around Jimmy B. and Bam. Riley is also thinking of which players he could put on the Heat’s bench that will help South Beach return to the NBA Finals. Give Miami the respect the franchise deserves.

Top Underdog Pick to Win the 2024 NBA Championship

Sacramento is the one team in the West that has the pieces in place to challenge the Denver Nuggets for the conference title. De’Aron Fox is a star. Domantas Sabonis can play defense on Jokic better than almost anybody in the league.

Keegan Murray, well, he’s the key to the Kings again finishing with a top three playoff seed. If Murray blossoms into the player everyone believes he is, watch out. The Kings will have two go-to-players in Keegan and Fox.

The odds on Sacramento are crazy overlaid. What happens if Jokic suffers an injury? What happens if LeBron decides to retire? Things happen during the course of a season. At the odds, Sacramento is easily the best underdog play on the board.
