Why Bet on the Atlanta Falcons?

After falling by 20 points to the Titans in their first preseason bout, the Falcons have a lot of work to do before the regular season. This contest gives them an opportunity to rectify mistakes that were made in their previous game. The Falcons had a shaky 2020 season, starting the year 0-5 before winning four of their next six games. However, their numbers plummeted again and went 0-5 to close the season. By the end of their run, they finished with an overall record of 4-12 and a last-place finish in the NFC South.

In their first preseason clash against the Tennessee Titans, Atlanta failed to score before the break and was trailing by 13 points. Both offense and defense failed to get enough traction to close the deficit. The game ended 23-3. Quarterback AJ McCarron had a tough time finding clear passes, going 5 of 12 for 36 yards and an interception, while Feleipe Franks recorded four carries for 76 yards.

This may spell bad news for the Falcons, but beneath all of the mishap is a chance for the squad to iron out and practice different strategies before the 2021 season. After all, Arthur Smith’s introduction as head coach might just give us a new and improved Atlanta Falcons this year.

The Dolphins will try to recover after losing their opening preseason game to the Bears in a 20-13 score. If Brian Flores can find good combinations in his rotation, we have reason to believe that they can match the opposing team and put some pressure along the way. Despite coming into the game with a better defensive rating and new players that strengthen the line, the new names will be put into the rotation to give each one a chance at securing a starting position.
