Texans QB C.J. Stroud Chances to Win the 2024 NFL MVP
The odds are low for a second year quarterback, but Stroud was exceptional his rookie season, and he had to take a few games off due to injury. C.J. threw for 4,108 yards, tossed 23 touchdowns and threw just 5 interceptions.
If Stroud stays healthy in 2024, he should toss 35 to 40 TD passes and for close to 4,500 yards because Stefon Diggs, Tank Dell, and Nico Collins makes for a fantastic trio of receivers. Also, Joe Mixon is one of the better pass catching running backs in the league. At +1000, C.J. Stroud is a great pick to win NFL MVP.
Texans HC DeMeco Ryans Chances to win the 2024 NFL Coach of the Year
The odds on DeMeco Ryans to win NFL Coach of the Year are overlaid. Ryans should be around +1000 to +1200.
Ryans was fantastic last season. This season, Houston projects to win at least 12 games, possibly more, and DeMeco will be a big reason. He’s a fantastic strategist who gets the most out of his players. Backing DeMeco Ryans to win NFL Coach of the Year at +1400 makes sense.
Houston Texans to Chances to Win the 2024 AFC South Division
As long as the odds stay above +100 or at +100, the Houston Texans are the play to win the AFC South. The only team capable of beating the Texans and winning the division are the Jacksonville Jaguars.
If C.J. suffers an injury, of course, the Jags could pull off the upset. But if the Texans remain one hundred percent healthy, they should have no trouble winning the division.
Houston Texans to Chances to Win the 2024 NFC Conference
Winning the division will be easy. Winning the conference won’t. The Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, and Baltimore Ravens are quality teams with more experienced quarterbacks than Stroud. The odds are light on Houston. So only play the Texans at +800 to win the AFC if you believe.

Although the odds are low at -205, the Texans should dominate the AFC South. Tennessee doesn’t have enough talented players to challenge the Texans. Jacksonville is a quality team on paper, but the Jags always fail.
Anthony Richardson lost his rookie season due to injury. So the Colts won’t get it done. The Texans will make the playoffs.

Houston will win at least 10 games. The likelier scenario is that the Texans win 11 or 12. Houston will start the season going 6-0 after beating Indianapolis, Chicago, Minnesota, Jacksonville, Buffalo at home, and New England.

There are worse plays than the Houston Texans to win the Super Bowl at 16-to-1 odds. Houston is a legit Super Bowl contender.
The key for the Texans will be to win the AFC. If Houston wins the AFC, they will have a shot versus the 49ers, Cowboys, Lions, Eagles or any other team that represents the NFC. Backing the Texans at +1600 to lift the Lombardi is a decent play.
