Why Bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars?
The Jacksonville Jaguars have failed to capitalize on their stunning Week 9 upset over the Buffalo Bills. They’ve lost three consecutive games since that win, recently falling to the Atlanta Falcons at home, 21-14.
Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence still struggled against a mediocre Atlanta defense, completing just 23 of his 42 passes for 228 yards, one touchdown, and one pick. That’s the first-overall pick’s 10th interception of the season; one more than his passing TD total of nine to date. Head coach Urban Meyer has got to get reliable running back James Robinson (17 carries for 86 rushing yards against the Falcons) more involved on offense to alleviate the heavy pressure being sent to Lawrence.
The Jaguars are actually middle-of-the-pack when it comes to averaged yardage allowed (360.3 YAPG). However, they’re seventh-worst in points surrendered at that (25.7 PAPG). Can this stop unit contain a Rams offense looking to rediscover its firepower against an inferior opponent?
Why Bet on the Los Angeles Rams?
It’s been a rough three-game stretch for the Los Angeles Rams, who’ve lost their fourth game of the season after a 36-28 defeat to the Green Bay Packers in Week 10. And with that three-game losing streak, they’re now two games behind the Arizona Cardinals for the top spot in the NFC West standings.
On the bright side, Los Angeles scored over 25 points for the first time during said slump. Matthew Stafford had a decent afternoon, finishing with 302 passing yards and three touchdowns for his sixth start with three or more passing TDs in a game. Newly acquired wideout Odell Beckham Jr. found the end zone for the first time as a Ram as well, with OBJ joining Cooper Kupp and Van Jefferson as LA’s wideouts with 80 or more receiving yards that day.
Unfortunately, not even the addition of another huge NFL talent in linebacker Von Miller has been enough to save the Rams’ faltering defense. They’re D has surrendered an average of 31.7 points per contest ever since the former Denver Broncos standout joined the fold. Miller feels more like a filler than an actual contributor, but at least the team still has big names such as Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey to try and get things right.
Jaguars vs. Rams Betting Trends

- The totals went under in each of Jacksonville’s last six outings.
- The Rams are 4-2 at home this season (3-3 ATS).
- The Rams are 3-4 against teams from the AFC dating back to the previous season (1-6 ATS).
- The totals went over in three of LA’s last five home games.
Jaguars vs. Rams Expert Betting Predictions
It’s rather clear that the Rams are heavy favorites to win this matchup regardless of their current three-game skid. Then again, the Jaguars did just take down a real playoff contender in Buffalo less than a month ago, and this should sway enough backers to side with them to cover the spread at the very least. Do note that Jacksonville lost by no more than 10 points in each of its last three losses as well.
