Why Bet on the Tampa Bay Lightning?
Though Game 1 wasn’t Tampa Bay at their best, they still got the job done. They have a great group of a forwards, a tight defense and, of course, top goaltending from Andrei Vasilevskiy, which we will check in a moment. Their power play percentage has been averaging at 39.1%, which was boosted by the return of Nikita Kucherov. We could see much more power tonight from them.
As for Vasilevskiy, he’s basically the reason why Game 1 was won. He’s currently averaging .947 in GAA after his performance in Game 1. He stopped 37 of 38 shots. An interesting fact is that during the regular season, he had a 1.75 GAA and and a save percentage of .936 during 20 home games, but it dropped in 22 road games. Still, he’s probably the best goalie right now in the league and has helped the Maple Leafs stay alive.
Why Bet on the Carolina Hurricanes?
The Canes were part of the 12 teams that had a scoring average of three goals or more per game during the regular season. The offensive line has a lot of power to give. They’ve performed well greatly with killing penalties, with a percentage of 86% just this postseason. Plus, they have a 53.9% faceoff percentage. Again, they have the tools and talent to bring Tampa Bay down on the offense. But they have to get passed Vasilevskiy.

Lightning vs. Hurricanes Expert Betting Predictions
The numbers indicate the Hurricanes as the better team in every way. They won the Central Division. That’s a good starting point to understand their current performance. But sometimes good numbers doesn’t provide the needed luck for success. They will have try to strip down the defending champions in their defensive line to get a few more goals in. If not, this will be another win for the Lightning and will be looking to close the series at home.
It’s a tough call after seeing Game 1, as this series could shift in either way. Let’s see what Game 2 has in stalled for us tonight!
