Why is Liverpool a safe bet to win?

Pool has a massive list of injuries to players that could push the attack. Diogo Jota, Arthur Melo, Roberto Firmino, and Luis Diaz are out.

Darwin Nunez, whom the Reds acquired this past summer to help with Sadio Mane’s departure, lists as doubtful. Players who will step onto the pitch and help on the attack are Mohamed Salah, one of the Premier’s top strikers, Cody Gakpo, and Harvey Elliott, who scored a beautiful winning goal over Wolverhampton in Liverpool’s last.

When it comes to Pool’s defense, problems could arise because Virgil Van Djik is also on the injury report. Expect Thiago to drop back and help on D.

Possible Line-Up

  • Alisson
  • Alexander-Arnold
  • Matip
  • Konate
  • Robertson
  • Elliott
  • Fabinho
  • Thiago
  • Salah
  • Nunez
  • Gakpo

Liverpool’s Last 5

  • Win – 0-1 vs. Wolverhampton
  • Loss – 3-0 vs. Brighton
  • Draw – 2-2 vs. Wolverhampton
  • Loss – 3-1 vs. Brentford
  • Win – Leicester City

Why is Chelsea a safe bet to win?

Like Liverpool, Chelsea won’t field their best lineup due to injuries. American Christian Pulisic is out. So is Denis Zakaria, striker Raheem Stirling, Ben Chilwell, Reece James, and Jao Felix, who is out due to suspension.

Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, and Hakim Ziyech will lead an attack that scored a single goal against Crystal Palace in the Blues’ last. Havertz got the goal.

Chelsea’s biggest issue could be in goal where Spaniard Kepa Arrizabalaga must play because Eduardo Mendy is injured. 38-year-old legend Thiago Silva will be counted on to manage the backline.

Possible Line-Up

  • Kepa
  • Chalobah
  • Badiashile
  • Silva
  • Hall
  • Kovacic
  • Jorginho
  • Gallagher
  • Ziyech
  • Aubameyang
  • Mount

Chelsea’s Last 5

  • Win – 1-0 vs. Crystal Palace
  • Loss – 2-1 vs. Fulham
  • Loss – 4-0 vs. Manchester City
  • Loss – 0-1 vs. Manchester City
  • Draw – 1-1 vs. Nottingham

Liverpool vs. Chelsea Betting Prediction

This should be an excellent match. Injuries have hit both sides hard, which is why Chelsea isn’t as much of an underdog as they would be if Liverpool were at full strength.

Both teams head into this off wins. Chelsea’s, though, was more impressive. The road team in this beat Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s home stadium, in a Premier League match.

Pool’s victory happened in an FA Cup contest versus Wolverhampton. The Wanderers are an okay team. However, it’s apparent Juirgen Klopp, the Reds head coach and manager, may have saved Salah for this.

Mohamed didn’t see the pitch in the win over the Wanderers. Salah could be the difference. So although these two have drawn in 4 of the last 5 head-to-head, Liverpool gets the nod.
