Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa Chances to Win the 2024 NFL MVP
In 2023, Tua had a great season when throwing for 4,624 yards and 29 TDs. Tagovailoa tossed 14 interceptions, though.
The interceptions, and not breaching the 30 TD mark, kept Tua out of NFL MVP discussions. Tagovailoa started hot and then tailed off. It’s difficult to know if he repeats the pattern in 2024. So unless you’re a Miami Dolphins fan, don’t back Tua Tagovailoa to win NFL MVP.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill Chances to win the 2024 NFL Offensive Player of the Year
Hill is the favorite to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award. It makes sense based on last year’s stats.
Tyreek caught 119 passes for 1,799 yards and scored 13 touchdowns. But the Fins added Odell Beckham Jr. during the offseason and Jaylen Waddle was hurt in a few games in 2023. Hill’s stats could take a slight hit, which makes him a bad play to win the NFL Offensive Player of the Year trophy.
Miami Dolphins Chances to Win the 2024 AFC East Division
Both the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets offer less than +150 odds to win the division. No doubt, Miami offers value. But if you back the Fins, you’re assuming the Bills don’t step up and the Jets are a paper tiger. Neither assumption is correct. Miami makes the playoffs but finishes behind the Jets. So unless you’re backing Miami because of the odds, stay away on taking the Fins at +210 to win the tough AFC East.
Miami Dolphins to Chances to Win the 2024 AFC Conference
The odds are much too low on Miami to win the American Football Conference. The Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Jets, and even the Bengals should field better defenses.
All of the above teams also have fantastic offenses and as good as Tua is, he hasn’t proven he can lead his team to the playoffs. Stay away from backing the Fins to win the AFC.

This is a tough bet. Although the odds imply the Dolphins easily make the postseason, we’re counting on Tua and the offense to improve and the defense to be better, much better in some ways, than it was in 2023.
The problem is that the Chargers and Jets have improved. So has Pittsburgh. Leaning towards No makes sense.

9 wins will be the ceiling. The Fins should start the season going 5-0. But then after the bye, things get much tougher.
After the bye, the Dolphins have 7-of-12 games on the road. Miami could lose all 7 road games. Wins over New England, Vegas, and Arizona are possible. But then, the rest of the games are up in the air. Under is the play.
Miami Dolphins Super Bowl 49 Prediction
For some reason, the Dolphins offer underlaid odds in most of their future and prop options. 24-to-1 odds on a team like the Fins, who play in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL, to win the Super Bowl constitute underlay odds.
Tua Tagovailoa is a good quarterback. But he hasn’t shown the ability to be one of the league’s best. Not only that, the AFC is deep with talented signal callers. Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, and reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson reside in the AFC.
Those five quarterbacks could be considered the best five in the NFL. Tua is bound to run into one or two of those quarterbacks should the Dolphins make the playoffs. The bet is no on the Miami Dolphins to win the 2025 Super Bowl.
