Why Bet on the Michigan Wolverines?

The Wolverines have turned back into one of the better teams in the nation. Juwan Howard’s team began the season ranked in the top 5. But Michigan quickly fell apart, losing game after game. However, the Wolverines lost to top notch opponents like Arizona and North Carolina. Since the NCAA Tournament started, Michigan has proven it’s a contender for the title, rallying to beat Colorado State by 12, and getting past SEC Tournament Champion Tennessee by 8.

Why Bet on the Villanova Wildcats?

Villanova is on a mission. The Wildcats have dominated going back to the Big East Tournament where they outlasted St. John’s, Connecticut, and Creighton. The 20-point win over Delaware and 10-point victory against Ohio State proves Nova is ready to continue their Final Four quest. Not only that, but Michigan will have trouble matching up with Villanova point-guard Collin Gillespie. Gillespie averages over 16 points, close to 4 rebounds, and over 3 assists per game. Collin is a matchup nightmare for the Wolverines.

Michigan vs. Villanova Expert Betting Predictions

On paper, Villanova should easily win this game. But the Wildcats face a surging Michigan squad. Not only are the Wolverines surging, but they’re playing their best basketball of the season. Versus Tennessee, Michigan dominated in the paint. Hunter Dickinson went 8-of-13 for 27 points. Dickinson also had 5 assists and grabbed 11 boards. Eli Brooks had 5 assists. Brooks can contain Gillespie. More importantly, the Wildcats are going to have a heck of a time containing Dickinson.

If you double Hunter on the blocks, he will find the open shooter. If you don’t double Dickinson, he’ll score at will. Dickinson shoots over 30% from three. At times, Howard will move Hunter to beyond the three-point line to open up the lane for Brooks and Michigan’s other guards to drive to the hoop. Dickinson is a major x-factor. At the odds, Michigan is a good bet to win this straight up.
