George Karlaftis – Purdue (EDGE)

It’s been quite some time since Minnesota has had a reliable defense, and George Karlaftis from Purdue could change the complexion of the team’s front seven. A first-team All-Big Ten selection, Karlaftis finished his final collegiate season with a 90.6 grade per Pro Football Focus. Kayvon Thibodeaux may be the best edge-rusher in the draft that’ll come off the board early, but the 21-year-old out of Greece is still a mighty fine consolation at the position with the Vikings’ 12th-overall pick.

Devin Lloyd – Utah (LB)

With the Vikings securing former Green Bay rival Za’Darius Smith in free agency, they could continue to bolster their linebacking crew with Devin Lloyd out of Utah. As the Pac-12’s Defensive Player of the Year, Lloyd is regarded by experts as the best all-around linebacker from the crop, being a stable force in pass and run protection alike to allow Smith to handle his business on the pass-rushing side of things.

Drake London – USC (WR)

Kirk Cousins received a massive extension from the Vikes this offseason, meaning giving him another downfield threat is certainly an option. Minnesota struck gold with Justin Jefferson in 2020, and USC’s Drake London could be the team’s next big wideout. An untimely ankle injury derailed London’s final season, but he still earned Pac-12 Offensive Player of the year honors last year after racking up seven touchdowns and over 1,000 receiving yards in just eight games to still make him a top-three WR prospect at the draft.

Updated Minnesota Vikings 2022 NFL Futures Odds

As of this writing, the Vikings are priced at +3,500 to win Super Bowl 57. They’re a middle-of-the-pack team odds-wise in terms of Lombardi Trophy contention. However, Minnesota has the second-best odds to win the NFC North title at (+300) only behind three-time division champions in the Green Bay Packers at (-210).
