Kentucky Wildcats vs. Michigan State Spartans

• When: Tuesday, November 15th, 2022. 7:00pm EST.
• Where: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN

So far, so good for John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats. In 2 games, Big Blue has not only won straight up, but they’ve also scored a pair of against the spread victories.

Granted, the Wildcats beat Howard and Duquesne. Then again, Kentucky was a 25-point favorite versus Howard and covered. Kentucky was a 19-point chalk against Duquesne and covered.

Michigan State is 1-1 this season. Sparty held their own versus Gonzaga in their second game, losing by a single point. But MSU’s guards can hang with the Zags’ guards. It’s difficult seeing Michigan State keeping it close versus Kentucky’s backcourt.

Duke Blue Devils vs. Kansas Jayhawks

• When: Tuesday, November 15th, 2022. 9:30pm EST.
• Where: Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN

Two of the most storied programs in college hoops’ history throw down on Wednesday when Rock Chalk Jayhawk steps onto the hardwood to take on the Duke Blue Devils.

Kansas is 2-0 straight up after a couple of games. The Jayhawks are 0-2 against the spread after their first two matchups. Duke is also 2-0. But unlike Kansas, the Devils have covered in their victories. Even though the Jayhawks haven’t covered, they should beat Duke straight up and win this versus the spread.

Gonzaga Bulldogs vs. Texas Longhorns

• When: Wednesday, November 16th, 2022. 9:30pm EST.
• Where: Moody Center, Austin, TX

Gonzaga didn’t play well in the 1-point victory over Michigan State. The Zags boast a player of the year candidate in Drew Timme. What’s scary is that Timme leads the Zags in points, rebounds, and assists.

You don’t really want your big man leading in assists per game. Texas point guard Marcus Carr could carve up the Zags’ defense. If you try to stop Carr from doing his thing, Tyrese Hunter will burn you. Gonzaga could lose this straight up.

Virginia Cavaliers vs. Baylor Bears

• When: Friday, November 18th, 2022. 7:00pm EST.
• Where: T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, NV

The Cavaliers game versus Baylor takes place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Both teams are 2-0 after a couple of games.

Virginia senior guard Arman Franklin will have to play his best for the Cavs to stick with the talented Bears. Baylor employs a 3-guard attack led by LJ Cryer, Adam Flagler, who averages close to 20 points per, and freshman Keyonte George, who is scoring 18 points per game. Baylor wins and covers.

Kentucky Wildcats vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs

• When: Sunday, November 20th, 2022. 7:30pm EST.
• Where: Spokane Arena, Spokane, WA

Calipari’s squad travels to Gonzaga. The key in this game will be how well Timme handles the reigning player of the year in Oscar Tshiebwe. Timme has a size advantage, but Tshiebwe boasts all the other advantages, including speed and the ability to pass the rock.

Kentucky’s guards, Antonio Reeves, Carson Wallace, and senior Sahvir Wheeler, will dominate the Zags’ guards. Wildcats upset the Bulldogs with an SU victory.

Houston Cougars vs. Oregon Ducks

• When: Sunday, November 20th, 2022. 9:30pm EST.
• Where: Matthew Knight Arena, Eugene, OR

In their first game of the season, the Ducks played great. Oregon blasted Florida A&M 80-45. But in their second game, the Ducks fell apart, losing straight up to UC-Irvine as a-15.5 chalk.

Oregon will play better against the Cougars then they did versus UC-Irvine. Still, Houston should win and cover. Kelvin Sampson’s squad is one of the best teams in the nation.
