Top NCAAB Betting Picks of the Week (February 14th, 2022)

By Hank Blaine

Like in most weeks, huge NCAAB matchups happen on most days this week. On Tuesday, the Big East tips things off with a massive battle between Villanova and Providence. On Wednesday, a couple of highly ranked Big 12 teams throw down when the Bears take on the Red Raiders. One of Saturday’s top games has Alabama heading to Kentucky to take on the Wildcats. Check out analysis and free picks for six of this week’s top games. Check back for updated NCAAB odds.

Villanova Wildcats vs. Providence Friars

  • When: Tuesday, February 14th, 2022. 8:00pm ET
  • Where: Dunkin Donuts Center, Providence, RI/li>
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: Villanova -4

Nova is on a 3-match winning streak. The Wildcats have beaten Connecticut, St. John’s and Seton Hall. On Tuesday, though, Jay Wright’s team plays the Big East’s best. Providence has a 21-2 record. The Friars beat Villanova 54-52 in the last head-to-head. But that the game happened in 2021. Give Nova a shot to win this straight up.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Villanova

Baylor Bears vs. Texas Tech Red Raiders

  • When: Wednesday, February 15th, 2022. 7:00pm ET
  • Where: Moody Coliseum, Dallas, TX
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

Baylor appears to have gotten over the embarrassing 83-59 loss to Kansas on Feb. 5. Since the loss, the Bears have won 2 straight, 75-60 against Kansas State and 80-63 over Texas. On Wednesday, Baylor faces a team that bested them 65-62 in the last head-to-head. Texas Tech has won 4-of-5. More impressively, Tech has gone 8-2 ATS in their last 10. Give the Red Raiders the nod to win and cover.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Texas Tech

Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Kentucky Wildcats

  • When: Saturday, February 19th, 2022. 1:00pm ET
  • Where: Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

The 16-9 Tide can’t afford to lose many more games. The upset win against Gonzaga impresses for sure, but it happened a while ago. Bama faces one of the hottest teams in the nation on Saturday. Kentucky has won 6 straight. During the streak, the Wildcats are just 3-3 ATS. Going further back, Kentucky is 3-5 ATS in their last 8. Bama covers.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Alabama

Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Michigan State Spartans

  • When: Saturday, February 19th, 2022. 12:00pm ET
  • Where: Breslin Center, East Lansing, MI
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

Like every season, the Big Ten is the deepest conference in NCAAM. Illinois has won 5-of-6 with the lone loss happening versus Purdue. On Feb. 12, Michigan State ended a 2-match losing streak with a 76-61 win versus the Indiana Hoosiers. Sparty had lost to Rutgers and Wisconsin in their previous 2 games. Michigan State looks tough to beat, but Illinois might be the better team. Give the Illini a shot to win and cover.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Illinois

Oregon Ducks vs. Arizona Wildcats

  • When: Saturday, February 19th, 2022. 10:00pm ET
  • Where: McKale Center, Tucson, AZ
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

The Cats are rolling. Since a 75-59 loss to UCLA on Jan. 25, U-of-A has won 6 straight and has gone 4-1 against the spread in their last 5. Oregon fell to Cal in their last and is on an 0-3 ATS streak to start the week. The Wildcats should have no trouble winning and covering the spread.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Arizona

Michigan Wolverines vs. Wisconsin Badgers

  • When: Sunday, February 20th, 2022. 1:00pm ET
  • Where: Kohl Center, Madison, WI
  • NCAAB Betting Odds: TBA

Michigan has disappointed this season. But although the Wolverines haven’t played great basketball, Wisconsin could be in for a rude awakening on Sunday. The Badgers are just 1-6 ATS int heir last 7. Michigan should keep this close enough to win against the spread. If you’re feeling lucky, consider the Wolverines’ moneyline.

NCAAB Betting Pick: Michigan
