Why bet on the Philadelphia Phillies?

With the home-field advantage throughout the NL Wild Card series against the Miami Marlins, the Philadelphia Phillies’ postseason experience from last season came up huge once more to set up the NLDS rematch against the Braves. The Phils ranked eighth in the majors during the regular season in runs scored and fifth in slugging percentage, which should worry a Braves pitching staff that’s allowed an average of six runs per contest over its last three outings.

With ample time to prepare for the series, the Braves will have its top ace Spencer Strider (20-5, 3.86 ERA) take the mound in Game 1 on Saturday. Strider has picked up winning decisions in each of his last four starts to end the regular season but has been tagged for at least three runs in three of his most recent outings.
