Why Bet on the Los Angeles Rams?
The optimism from the massive win in Week 1 for the Los Angeles Rams was immediately dampened by the San Francisco 49ers, who continued their domination over the Rams in the regular season with a 30-23 win in Week 2. Things are still looking up for Los Angeles, though, as the team’s offense did relatively significant damage to a shut-down Niners defense.
Matthew Stafford overcame a pair of interceptions and still threw for over 300 yards with one passing touchdown. Sensational young wideout Puka Nacua proved he was no one-week-wonder as well, grabbing a whopping 15 catches for 147 receiving yards to set new NFL records for a rookie wide receiver through his first two games. Even running back Kyren Williams got in on the action, scoring his third rushing TD in two weeks.
Defensively, Los Angeles ranks in the middle of the pack, which is an improvement from last year’s miserable run. However, the Rams still have only three sacks this season thus far and would need their pass-rushing corps led by Aaron Donald to come alive against a Cincinnati offensive line that hasn’t given its quarterback the right support in the pocket.
Why Bet on the Cincinnati Bengals?
Although they still ended up losing in Week 2, the Cincinnati Bengals can still find silver linings from their 27-24 defeat to the Baltimore Ravens. Now comes Cincinnati’s first matchup of the season against a non-divisional opponent and one that they’ve had a historic bout against just a couple of years ago.
Joe Burrow was still inefficient with just 27 completions on 41 attempts against the Ravens but did find the end zone twice and finished with 222 passing yards. What’s still a concern is that top wideout Ja’Marr Chase had another quiet day with just five receptions for 31 receiving yards. Running back Joe Mixon did look more effective on the ground, averaging 4.5 yards per carry on 13 rushing attempts.
Unfortunately, the Bengals’ defense is still far from their playoff-contending pedigree from the past couple of seasons, surrendering 415 yards of total offense to Baltimore. The last time they faced the Rams in the Super Bowl, the game was a low-scoring affair that was decided in the final minutes. They’ll have to be cautious about a revitalized LA offense this time around, and two takeaways and three sacks by this D through the first couple of weeks will not cut it.

Rams vs. Bengals Expert Betting Predictions
Both the Rams and the Bengals are going through some rough patches to start the 2023 campaign, but it’s been the former who’s been more of a pleasant surprise than the latter. We’ll have to side with Los Angeles to also win the rematch as the Rams’ receiving corps dissects Cincinnati’s porous defense for a huge road upset.
